Stroois ( meaning Straw House)

Situated in Bosbokduin, a Cape coastal fynbos nature reserve, perched on a dune overlooking the Indian Ocean, Stroois offers the opportunity to experience nature optimally. Built according to strict architectural guidelines, Bosbokduin's houses recreate the feeling of a Tolkien novel. The decor of Stroois is rustic to fit in with the thatched roof and environment Cozy, fully-equipped accommodation for up to 4 people is provided. The second bedroom has a bunkbed recommended for children/teenagers The space All the houses in Bosbokduin have the similar building construction in order for them to blend harmoniously in with the natural environment of the dune habitat . Thatched roofs stretching down low over face brick walls Stroois is perched on an ancient dune. It has a 100 degrees uninterupted view of the Indian Ocean. The rolling waves break in white foam on the rocks below. Watch whales and dolpins as they swim in the bay in front of you. Black-backed seagulls drif lazily in the wind, with the occasional ship passing on the horizon. A rocky beach is located in front of Stroois, great for fishing, sunbathing and hiking. During low tide the rock pools are ideal for swimming. Around the corner is a small hamlet, Skulpiesbaai (shell beach) wich is used for surfing, kayaking and snorkelling. Unfortunately it is not safe for swimming. Please note that the rates displayed are for 2 guests, except December and January. Additional guests pay an additional R200 per person extra. Guest access The unit is booked in its entirety for guests. It does not matter if they are 2 or 4. There is a open patio in front of the house and an outside braai on the side. Other things to note Please note that only babies under one year may stay for free. Over a year they are seen as an extra person. The second sleeping area has a bunkbed and is recommended for children/teenagers
