Guests spend cozy evenings together in the rustic barn, the feed kitchen or the potato cellar. The space "Maat's Scheuer is actually due to chance. We were looking for a barn "Scheuer" as a shelter for tractors and machines. The farmhouse belonging to the barn was love at first sight. With a lot of passion and craftsmanship, Matthias "Maat" has converted it into a vacation home in the last three years and made it a real gem for the dreamy farming village of "Hamm". When furnishing the rooms, he aimed to underline the rustic charm with authentic furnishings and furniture. This has created a place where families with children or a circle of friends with up to 10 people can spend their vacation together on the Saar. Secluded in the middle of a peninsula in the Saar, it is only a few minutes to Saarburg, where numerous shopping and leisure opportunities can be found. From Maat's barn you can enjoy the unobstructed view of the Serriger vineyards and watch the hang gliders that start on the opposite slope, the "beautiful view" and land 200 m from the vacation home.
