A Beautiful Gypsy Caravan in Arisaig

We open May to September. 'Flora' is a beautiful gypsy caravan (with a great comfy double bed) and is set in the lovely garden of the Old Manse in the lovely village of Arisaig. Surrounded by bamboo and trees and facing west for stunning sunsets. Outside enjoy a hot shower in the gas-fired shower hut, a composting toilet hut and the 'exclusive' use of a fantastic 12 seater BBQ hut. Guests can also enjoy sitting by the pond. Guests are within walking distance of Arisaig village and seafront. The space ‘Flora’ is a hand-crafted, wooden shepherds hut based on the Vardo, horse-drawn, Romany wagons from long ago. This model is a super-insulated and double glazed version designed with power points and free Wifi for comfortable modern living. Inside there is a double bed set in a pretty alcove, a desk with drawers (containing a torch, first aid kit and hairdryer), two chairs and a freestanding electric fireplace stove. There are plenty of books, maps and local tourist information to make your stay very special. The outside space includes a wooden hut with a gas-fired hot shower which soaks away into the bamboo. In another hut the dry composting loo demonstrates the unique, clever and fresh way to deal with your waste. We have recently installed a 'Lavabo' which is great for washing your hands and cleaning teeth. For dish washing there is a table at the back of the BBQ and for fresh drinking water there is an outside Belfast sink a few steps from the BBQ hut. The guests also have exclusive use of the atmospheric 12 seater BBQ Hut to cook over the charcoal grill (charcoal is provided for your stay), a griddle pan and a good selection of BBQ utensils also provided. Wine glasses, crockery and cutlery as well as a kettle; toaster; cafetiere; ground coffee; a variety of teabags and sugar to enjoy a relaxing breakfast or simply use this area to sit and relax. There is also an electric 40 litre fridge to store fresh food and drinks (you will find a bottle of fresh milk on your arrival) and a single Induction Hotplate with 2 pans and a Microwave. Guest access The guests will have private access through the front garden gate. Other things to note We have two friendly Tibetan Terriers (Dougal is 7 & Bertie is 4) and we like to introduce our guests to them on arrival. Registration Details LICENCE NO:- HI-40821-F
