This Cottage is a restored Grade 2 listed cottage on the edge of the fabulous Ashdown Forest. The cottage sleeps 8, with 4 bedrooms , (2 single and 2 doubles) in the restored old cottage, think old wooden beams, classic Sussex windows and beautiful features. In the new, modern extension there is a fab big kitchen and living area with sofa bed. There are 2 bathrooms. It's a perfect location for a Sussex countryside retreat! The space This cottage has been a labour of love and over 4 years in the making. The bedrooms are based in the oldest part of the cottage, these are cosy rooms with all original features. (With some modern additions like an en-suite bathroom). The living area is a brand new extension. There is a big kitchen, with a table big enough for 10 and a sitting room with gorgeous views and big bifold doors. The light is amazing in these rooms and the area is very sociable. With two patio areas, plenty parking, a garden, a field to run around in and a stream this is the place to get away from it all. This cottage is next door to our other cottage and can be booked together for a place that will sleep 14. Please note that the cottage is has a few stairs between the kitchen and living area. One of the single bedrooms is up a steep oak stair, it is advisable that this is only used by children over 8 and other who are steady on their feet! Guest access You will have the whole cottage, garden and parking all to yourself. You can also spend time walking in the field we own next door, or hopping over the stile to get to the river we own. (though you do so at your own risk! and children need to be accompanied!) Other things to note We do have special offers for 3 night or more stays and mid week stays this winter so do get in touch.
