Kitchen in the anteroom: not really heatable, only through the open door to the living room to warm up a bit. Bathroom: shower, washbasin, toilet. Electric heating. Bedroom: partly electric. But it stays a little cool!! Two centuries-old rooms are made available to those who are looking for something very special: The "falcon's nest" consists of two rooms – for comfortable sleeping and cozy living for 1-2 people. The special thing is that you live above the chapel in the historic tower and have unobstructed views from several windows in all directions: over the castle, courtyard and nature. The atmospheric castle and the view over its estates will captivate you. The location of the "Falkennest" is unique. A functional, small kitchenette offers the possibility to prepare simple meals (fridge, microwave, coffee pad machine). The bathroom comfortably meets the needs of 21st century people. In the round bedroom you will find a comfortable double bed (two high-quality, Swiss mattresses of 200 x 100 cm) and a lot of coziness. The hawk's nest has no central heating and is therefore not rented in winter. In the cooler transitional period of spring and autumn, an electric towel warmer in the bathroom provides cozy warmth. Read a good book, listen to music, watch TV: just relax! You will feel like so many of our guests: everyday life and its worries disappear into the distance. Old walls, falcons and kingfishers, historical ambience and idyll, stylish surroundings and an atmosphere that is unique will fascinate you. Guests looking for relaxation in the Falkennest in May or June will witness a very special event: From your apartment you can see into the real nest of the kestrels, which breed every year in a wall niche of the castle. Experience how the little peregrine falcons fledge and make their first flight attempts on the castle grounds – until one day they find the courage and strength to cross the castle moat! Anyone who wants to get to the falcon's nest has to climb a narrow, relatively steep staircase. Please keep this in mind if you have difficulty walking! Looking forward to seeing you soon. Other things to note The Falkennest has no central heating! The bathroom is electrically heated. In the kitchen you will find a Nespresso capsule machine and a regular coffee maker for filter coffee. Please bring filters in the usual 1x4 format. Linens, towels, bath mats, dish towels are provided and included in the price. To ensure you have an uncomplicated start, we also provide you with a basic set of consumables - soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, garbage bags, etc. - then, when the basic equipment is used up, you can get supplies in the village store in 3 minutes on foot. At the end of the stay, we ask that you strip the beds, dispose of the garbage and put the dishes cleanly in the cabinet. The general departure time is 10 am. We offer - if compatible with our cleaning and occupancy plan - that you extend until 12 noon. The prerequisite is that you clarify this request with us by 10 am the day before your departure (if possible). We charge 20 euros for the extension of the stay, which we may charge via Airbnb.
