Spartan rustic farmhouse: Casa Rosa

Casa Rosa is located at 400 meters above sea level, secluded in nature. It takes about 40 minutes to the sea. It is ideal for both individualists and adventurous couples. It is a spartan retreat for people who seek extremes. Time has stood still here. You live like 100 years ago on Alicudi! Casa Rosa was built in 1902 (with volcanic stones from Alicudi). It has been reconstructed in the original Aeolian architectural style. The space Casa Rosa has two large bedrooms, a spacious kitchen and two sun-drenched terraces. There is a cemented antique outhouse (photo). Behind the house is the shower area with a camping shower. In the kitchen there is the original fire pit (photo) that can be heated with wood. You cook on the island-typical 3-burner gas stove. Lighting is provided by solar lamps (no power source available in the house). Fresh rainwater (drinkable and usable for cooking) is pulled out of the cistern by hand with the bucket (photo). In the first bedroom there is an original Sicilian wedding bed (photo). The rest of the furniture is also in this style. Through the two separate terraces there is a larger panoramic view and the sun lights up the day until late in the evening (longer sunshine). Guest access The house has its own outdoor staircase (photo) that leads to the public path. The house is completely available to my guests. Other things to note Pets are welcome. In the surrounding garden are caper bushes, olive trees and cacti (Fichi d'India). Casa Rosa is perfect for hermits, dropouts and adventurers.
