Description
Charming, private wood cabin located in a small village on the Northwest coast of Iceland. Secluded enough for intimate privacy, still close enough to the center of the village and community. Untouched Icelandic nature is the backdrop to the cabin, with mountain views, ocean views, beautiful hiking routes surrounding the area, black sand beaches and little light pollution for fantastic views of the Northern Lights. It is truly a perfect spot for an authentic North Icelandic experience. The space Sun Cape Cabin is an all wooden cabin that accommodates up to 4 people. Comfort is subjective to peoples tastes. Keep in mind the cabin is 23 sq meters and for some people this may be a tight fit. We've had guests that love the modest coziness and others who think it is too small. It has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a living area, that includes a comfortable pull out couch that sleeps 2 adults or 3 children. The cabin also has a very cute and fun loft area ideal for children, however adults can also choose to sleep there. The loft sleeps up to 3 people. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a 2 burner stove, small refrigerator with small freezer space. We provide cutlery , utensils, pots, pans, glassware, some spices, a kettle, coffee machine, toaster, and microwave. Off of the kitchen is a dining area with table ideal for quaint, cozy dinners. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, sink and small washing machine available for use. We provide complimentary non-toxic body wash, and shampoo to all our guests. The cabins also flat screen TV, offering complimentary Netflix. Our listings are undergoing renovation that can only be done during the summer months. New insulation, outdoor painting and indoor touch ups. None of which should affect you mr stay. The outdoor space consists of a deck, perfect in the summers for outdoor dinning, or to simply enjoy the quite calm that comes with staying in a small countryside village. With a frontal view of Mt. Spákonufell and the untouched nature that surrounds the property. **All rates include fresh linens, and towels for each guests Guest access The Cabin is PRIVATE, you have it for yourself. There are walking trails on the Cape behind the Cabin, you are free to walk in the area and almost every where. In summer time the birds has their nest on part of the hill, and can be bit aggressive. You can have a small stick with you and hold it up. Other things to note Fresh linens and towels are included. Breakfast can be added upon request at an extra charge. As you explore nature we ask that guests be mindful of the Icelandic wilderness, most hiking trails are surrounded by living moss & licen we do not step on, it is a delicate part of the ecosystem so we ask you make sure to stay on trails, this also helps avoid stepping on nests. The bird life is abundant here so if you're not fond of birds this is not the place for you. This is their home and they can be territorial, we live with them daily and have learned to be in synergy with them we ask that as visitors to their land you offer them respect they deserve. We are not a luxury accommodation, we are a family business in the middle of growing and expanding & we invite our guests to our home with realistic expectations, this is Northern Icelandic glamping with everything you may need and then some, but we do want to be clear in conveying the modesty of our offering.
