The Gable - Charming self-contained Annexe

The Gable – A light & airy annex fitted out with love & attention to detail. Bedroom with double-bed with the high-quality mattress, beautiful shower room, comfortable sofa, fully equipped, high-spec kitchen & large smart TV - all comforts to make your stay perfect! Outside you'll have your own private patio. We're in a perfect location to explore Waddesdon Manor, Stowe House, Claydon House, The Chilterns & Bletchley Park, visit Silverstone or grab some retail therapy at Bicester Village The space Kitchen and Living Space The kitchen has everything you will need. A KitchenAid Nespresso Coffee Machine; Induction Hob with built-in extractor and easy to operate Oven; Toaster; Dishwasher; American-style Fridge Freezer; Microwave and Washer/Dryer. All the utensils, crockery, glassware & cooking equipment you'll require. A large, soft sofa, with footstool, coffee table is perfect for sinking into & relaxing. High-speed internet makes streaming your favourite programmes on the large-screen Smart TV easy and if you have to work, bandwidth seamlessly supports video conferencing. A dining table & 4- chairs, bookcase, Bluetooth speaker, and chest (full of games which you are welcome to use!) completes the downstairs. The whole area is covered by underfloor heating which you can control (upstairs is controllable too separately). Bedroom and Bathroom Upstairs, the bedroom is in the eves, so whilst the main space is full head-height, you may need to be careful if you are tall! A double bed with a high-quality mattress, bedside tables, small bedroom chair and a small gentleman’s wardrobe with drawers and hanging provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you need more hangers, blankets, pillows - please just ask. The Bathroom is equipped with a sink, powerful shower, fluffy, warm towels and hot water on demand Outside The Gable has its own secluded courtyard space, with garden table & chairs, umbrella and charcoal BBQ. It's surrounded by the owner’s raised vegetable beds. The spot enjoys the sun for much of the day so it’s beautiful for relaxing with a glass of wine! There is private parking in a secured driveway & there is plenty of space in the owner’s carport to securely store bikes etc. if you have such items with you. Other things to note The Gable is perfect for a quiet getaway for a couple or single person and is set in the small quiet, village of Granborough, which is superbly located for some beautiful walks directly from your door or within a short drive as well as visiting a number of places of local interest. The village Pub (The Crown) is a couple of minutes’ walk away & serves food & does a takeaway pizza /fish & chips service. There are many other local pubs (in and around the beautiful Buckinghamshire villages), and takeaways (some of which deliver) so if you are looking for great places to eat or a well-deserved pint at the end of your walks / days out, let us know and we'd be happy to suggest other places. We’re happy to give advice on local walks and other places of interest (we're close to Waddesdon Manor - home to the Rothschild family and Bletchley Manor - home to the WWII code breakers) and we’re only 20 mins drive from Bicester Village for those needing a shopping fix! We normally welcome guests from 3pm onwards, but can sometimes be open to being flexible if needed. There is secure key safe to allow for contactless access. Guest access There is no issues with parking - there is plenty of off-the-road parking in front of The Gables Other things to note Whilst we don't consider the Gables to be child-friendly, we are open to couples travelling with a young baby and can provide a travel cot if required. We have 3 Cocker Spaniel dogs. They are all very friendly and cannot access the Gables or its outside space, but if you are a bit nervous, please just let us know in advance. Because of our own dogs on-site we are not currently able to accommodate guest’s dogs.
