Navajo Yurt~ Mesa Verde Views on Campground

Our traditional Navajo Hogan offers a unique experience. Only 5 miles from downtown Cortez. Showers & kitchen are seasonal from April - October. It has a porta-potty, pump sink & portable battery inside. It comes with a queen size bed with full linens, and two towels. There is a wood stove is inside for heat and boiling water. This is located on a private campground. Please see photos. Extra linens are available for rental onsite. Price includes 2 guests, $10 each after, up to 6 total. The space Bright Star Campground a spacious, rustic campground (lots of critters and nature) located in the shadow of Mesa Verde National Park, with beautiful panoramic views of mountains and mesas. Only ten minutes southeast of downtown Cortez, 15 minutes from Phil’s World mountain biking destination, and 20 minutes to the Mesa Verde National Park visitor center. We are spread across 20 acres with a variety of sites available: multiple RV and tent sites, 6 bunk cabins, 4 tipis, a hogan, and a 2 bedroom home. Many sites have picnic tables and fire rings. The campground amenities include a large communal kitchen and pavilion with free WiFi. The kitchen has a fridge and freezer for guests use, hot plates, toaster ovens, microwave and other appliances, dishes/pots/pans/spices, as well as complimentary coffee, filtered water, and ice for individual water bottles. There is a pit toilet bathroom with double stalls for each side, male and female, and separate ladies and gents shower houses too. The pavilion has an art station, couches, picnic tables, propane grill, ping pong and other games. There is a small playground near the pavilion. Guest access Park in front of the "HOGAN" (wood yurt). There is a gate entry to the property and instructions will be sent to guests that book. From late April 20 - October the main campground is open and you have access to ladies or gents shower houses, separate pit toilet building, fire pit, picnic table, kitchen, pavilion, games, art station, phone charging station, playground, propane grill, and the grounds. Other things to note We are in a high plains desert so please be conservative with water use in the showers and when washing dishes. We are a family friendly, cannabis friendly (please no smoking inside of any structures), pet friendly campground that enjoys this rural setting with beautiful 360 degree views of the four corners region, including Mesa Verde National Park.
