Description
A cosy studio annexe with outdoor kitchen, dining and decking area set on an acre of beautiful garden, with access to private woodland. Secluded but near Wakefield, Yorkshire Sculpture Park is only 5 mins away and the Hepworth Gallery 15 mins. The vibrant city of Leeds is just 20 minutes away. Historic York is an easy 40 mins drive and you can be in the heart of the Peak District within the hour. The hosts live in the main house on site so are available to answer any questions during your stay. The space The studio sleeps two. King-size bed, en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower (towels provided), toilet, fridge (with ice compartment), WIFI, TV, Alexa speaker, coffee machine and tea-making facilities. Bi-fold doors open out onto a decking area with seating and views over the garden where you can watch the local wildlife – pheasants often strut around the garden, squirrels are numerous and there’s even the occasional visit from rabbits, owls and deer. To get closer to nature, you can even laze in hammocks in your own private woodland. Outdoor Kitchen The enclosed outdoor kitchen features a Ninja pizza oven, two-ring induction hob, electric hot plate grill (on request), microwave and air fryer, bottle fridge, sink, plates, glassware, induction pans and cutlery. Instructions for the use of the equipment are provided or the owners can show you how to use them. The outdoor kitchen area is private and for your sole use during your stay. It is fully enclosed with a glass frontage to protect against the worst of the weather and also includes a large dining table and cosy seating area with heater, fairy lights and views onto the garden. Guest access The hosts are usually available to welcome you but if checking in after 9pm, message the hosts to get instructions on how to access the accommodation. Guests have sole use of the studio accommodation and outdoor kitchen. Access to the garden and adjacent woods is shared with the hosts. Other things to note - Two free on-site parking spaces - Complementary welcome biscuits and tea & coffee - Free wi-fi - Bedding and towels provided - A viewing point with panoramic views across the valley towards the Sculpture Park is a 2 min walk from the property - Yorkshire Sculpture Park 5 mins drive - Farm shop with popular café 5 mins drive - Newmillerdam country park 7 mins drive - Country pubs within easy reach Accessibility - Access from the parking to the studio is down a few steps and is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair access. Note that access to the woods and much of the garden may also be difficult for anyone with major walking difficulties. Dogs - Sorry, we are unable to take dogs
