The location is simply incredible. We're in the center of everything, and you can walk anywhere in the city from our house. 2. Our building has a lot of character. It's a typical Plateau house built in the late 1800s, and the loft gets plenty of natural light thanks to the skylights. The original brick walls and pine floors add to the charm of the property. We have original artwork on all the walls, and we've recently installed air conditioning to keep you cool during the hotter days of summer. 3. The place is spacious. The ceilings are very high, and the backyard and rooftop patio allow you to enjoy the best summer days outdoors! Here are three things to consider before renting: 1. We live in a residential area, so no noisy gatherings will be tolerated in our home. 2. Our building is over 100 years old. Although we've put a lot of time, love, and effort into maintaining it, the bathroom has a large easily accessible shower for everyone. The floors are slightly slanted, and there's nothing we can do about it. This is very typical of old Plateau houses, and it adds to the charm according to our guests. 3. Like all old buildings, the walls aren't as soundproof as newer constructions, and it's a very typical feature of all houses built at that time in Montreal. That said, it doesn't bother us as residents, which is why we ask all our guests to respect the neighbors by avoiding shouting, loud noises, or playing loud music inside and outside the building at any time during their stay. Additionally, we request that guests minimize noise after 11:00 PM, as mandated by the municipality. So, if you intend to party hard, our home may not be for you, but if you plan to behave like local residents, you should enjoy your stay.
