The 'Stone Chimney Cottage' is a charming, light and inviting double-storey cottage within walking distance of the various famous beaches along the Cliff Path of Hermanus. It is only appr. 4 km away from the lively and vibrant town centre, where a variety of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and boutiques can be found. The space When you enter the front door, you will be welcomed by an open-plan sitting and dining room area, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and scullery. The main bedroom, opposite the dining room area, has a queen size bed, with a dressing table and full bathroom en-suite. The dining room area leads onto a big patio with barbeque (a.k.a. "braai") facilities, as well as table and chairs - where you can hear and smell the sea! Upstairs one walks into an open-plan living room with sea-fronting french glass doors opening onto a small balcony. The second bedroom, opposite the living room upstairs, has a double bed and glass french doors opening onto a small balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains. The third bedroom, situated next to the second bedroom, is nestled away in the roof space above the garage, with two separate single beds. Its cozy ambiance makes it ideal for children. There are 1.5 bathrooms upstairs, one with shower and basin, and one with toilet and basin. Guest access Apart from being one of the best whale watching destinations in the world, Hermanus is a culture rich town with a variety of festivals, e.g. the Kalfie and Fynarts festivals, which are drawing much tourist attention every year! The famous Hemel-en-Aarde Valley with its numerous wine estates is close by - to enjoy wine routes and world class cuisine. There are also top rated golf courses in Hermanus! The cottage is only 50 meters away from a very popular and child-friendly restaurant, Lizette's (opposite Caltex garage). For sundowners, pack a picnic basket and sit on one of the benches that are situated along the Cliff Path. Other things to note The cottage is in close proximity of a variety of mountain trails which are known for its magnificent views and exquisite fynbos - and is ideal for mountain biking, hiking or bird watching. For the adventurous, there is Great White Shark cage diving available in Gansbaai, 40 km away.
