"the Palm" on the Wageningse Berg

The "Palm" is uniquely located on the Wageningse Berg right next to the Belmonte Arboretum and within a 10-minute walk of downtown. Between the Veluwe and the Betuwe. Movable screen. - Adjoining kitchen and with dining/working table - newly renovated bathroom Driveway parking 2 bicycles are provided The space Welcome to De Palm, a cozy and newly renovated apartment on the beautiful Wageningse Berg, right next to the Belmonte Arboretum. Here you can enjoy peace and nature, while still staying centrally. Within 10 minutes you can walk to the cozy center of Wageningen, and the WUR is only 15 minutes by bike (two bikes included!). Location De Palm is perfectly located between the Veluwe and the Betuwe. Behind the house, you can take the ferry and cycle into the Betuwe, while in the other direction, you can reach the forests of the Veluwe in no time. Directly from the apartment, you can take beautiful walks over the dike, through the floodplains and along the arboreta. Two Klompenpaden (marked hiking trails) run right next to the house and offer a unique hiking experience. The apartment Now that our children have moved out, we have created a comfortable and cozy apartment where our guests will hopefully feel at home. • Private entrance via a spiral staircase at the back of the house, directly to the sunny south-facing balcony with a table and two chairs. • Bedroom and living room with a comfortable double bed (1.60 x 2.00 m), a cozy two-seater sofa and a movable screen. • Fully equipped kitchen with a SMEG fridge, oven, microwave and two-burner stove, plus a homemade dining and work table • Newly renovated bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. • Good climate control: radiators in all rooms, underfloor heating in the bathroom, and air conditioning for both cooling in summer and extra heating in winter. Practical information & accessibility • Check-in: via a lockbox or in person, depending on the possibilities and wishes. • Transportation: Two free bicycles available for our guests. • Parking: On private driveway or free in the street. • Public transport: Bus stop 800 meters away (towards Arnhem or Wageningen bus station). Wageningen bus station is 1.2 km away. The name "De Palm" The apartment owes its name to the impressive palm tree that grows next to the spiral staircase against the house. The previous residents took home a plant or shrub after each vacation. After a trip to Lake Lugano, they planted an azalea, which probably contained a palm seed. Thanks to its sheltered south-facing location, this palm has now grown meters high and forms a special feature of the house. We look forward to hosting you at De Palm!
