Artist's room 2.1 - the Hanseatic

The bright, spacious Artist Room 2.1 is located on the 3rd floor of the Kulturhaus Häselburg and is furnished with a large, comfortable bed (1.80 × 2 m), a desk, and a cozy armchair. Directly from the room, you can access a newly designed, modern shower room. Also on the same floor, there is a fully equipped shared kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The space Our artists’ rooms, completed in 2023, are located in the Häselburg Cultural Center – right in the heart of Gera, just a few steps from the town hall, the market, and numerous restaurants, cafes, and shopping options. Despite its central location, the rooms are very quiet and spacious. We deliberately preserved the beautiful features of this historic Wilhelminian-style house – such as the original hardwood floor – and combined them with clean, modern design elements. When furnishing our rooms, we place great emphasis on quality and sustainability: Guests sleep on high-quality, certified organic mattresses, with organic down comforters and freshly laundered, fragrance-free white bedding. On the same floor, there is a fully equipped shared kitchen with a fridge, stove, oven, and dishwasher, which you can use until 10:00 p.m. The Häselburg, a former girls' school from the 19th century, has been developed into a center for new ideas and perspectives since 2017 and was awarded by the IBA Thuringia. This design concept is reflected in each of our apartments or rooms. We consciously refrain from frills and focus on the essentials. This also means that we do not offer a TV out of conviction – Wi-Fi (free Wi-Fi) is available everywhere. Fast Wi-Fi. Non-smoking rooms. Animals are not allowed.
