A Slice of Heaven by the Sea. A spacious, light-filled, cosy home, which has been recently renovated in 2024. It is a detached bungalow with lots of private space. Beyond the back garden there is the Salt Haven Brook with peaceful countryside views and only bird chatter to sometimes disturb you. A 1 min walk and you are on Pevensey Bay’s lovely shingle beach and a 10 min walk will take you to cafés, pubs, restaurants & shops. There's something for everyone in Pevensey Bay! The space The bungalow is very deceiving from the outside and am sure you will be pleasantly surprised on entry as to how much space and light there is. 🔹The living room is south/east facing, so always warm & cosy. There is a 55 inch Smart TV and for those Autumn/Winter nights the wood burner stove makes it all the more special. In the Winter months a bucket of kindling and wood is provided. Its Zen feel makes it a perfect place to chill & unwind in. 🔹There are 2 bedrooms. One has a king-size bed and the other has 2 single beds. These single beds are Zip and Link beds and convert to a king-size bed if preferred and requested. 🔹The luxury bathroom has a fabulous large walk-in shower, a ‘his & her’ double vanity unit sink and a deep full size bath to enjoy. 🔹The kitchen/dining/snug is a lovely area of open space with a great skylight. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you will need for a more than comfortable stay. The dining area seats 6 and very spacious. There is a dedicated workspace corner too should you need it. The snug area has a 32 inch Smart TV to enjoy, a Radio & Bluetooth Speaker for your music playlists. A perfect area to cook, drink & relax in. 🔹The bi-fold doors lead onto a large decking area with a lovely water feature where you can dine outside and enjoy nature & tranquillity. There is a barbecue for your use. In the Summer months a bag of BBQ charcoal is provided. 🔹The garden is secure, peaceful and relaxing with only birds, greenery & sky! It is north/west facing, so afternoon sunshine here and perfect sunset skies! 🔹The bungalow includes all bed linen & bath towels. 🐚 PEVENSEY BAY was an old fishing village and is now a quaint, relaxed, seaside resort and has all the amenities and eateries you will need to just 'stay put' and recharge. Enjoy energising walks along the beach at high tide towards Normans Bay or Sovereign Harbour or go for an easier walk at low tide. It is always lovely. 🏰 PEVENSEY CASTLE is a 25 min walk away along Wallsend Road or go via the public footpath loop through fields & nature. It is in the care of the English Heritage with a history stretching back over 16 centuries and was the landing place of William the Conqueror’s army in 1066. Wander around the Roman walls & Saxon Shore Fort and afterwards hydrate in the lovely Royal Oak & Castle Inn Pub or the delightful Castle Cottage Tearoom. A def must see if you come and stay. 🍁 The bungalow is a great base to visit many other amazing places in the area - ‘South Coast 1066 Country’ as it is known. Take in and enjoy the countryside of the Pevensey Levels Nature Reserve or go see the stunning South Downs National Park. The Birling Gap & Seven Sisters especially showcase spectacular landscapes of white chalk cliffs and there’s the awesome Lighthouse at Beachy Head. 🌟 There are lots of superb historical towns to visit nearby too: Eastbourne, Bexhill, Battle, Hastings, Lewes, Brighton & Rye to name but a few! Pevensey Bay (PEB) mainline railway is an 18 minute walk away from the bungalow & the 99 bus service from St Wilfred's Church in the Bay can take you to Eastbourne, Bexhill & Hastings. ✏️ In the bungalow you will find info on my 'Top Ten’ suggestions of things to do & places to eat and if you are celebrating a Birthday 🎁, an Anniversary 🎉, or a Special Occasion during your stay, please do let me know! 🐾 PEVENSEY BAY LOVES DOGS Dogs are welcome on the beach here all year round. They are also welcome in many of the cafés & pubs/bars of the area. We are happy to have a maximum of 2 dogs in the bungalow at an extra fee, per pet per stay. The bungalow is surrounded by secure fencing so your pets are safe and you can relax with peace of mind. The driveway is gated for their security. A doggie basket is also provided just for them! Guest access The whole bungalow is yours to enjoy throughout your stay. Other things to note * Travel Cot for infants is available on request. Please bring your own bedding. * The bungalow has a Click Clack sofa in the snug room which could accommodate a 5th person at an extra guest fee. Please ask for more info. * The bungalow from driveway to outside decking area is all on one level so could be considered wheelchair 'friendly'. However, please ask for more info. * Beach Box available on decking with all beach essentials in Summer months. Please bring your own beach towels. * The driveway accommodates 2 cars comfortably. Please however be careful and pay heed to the ramp/bump on your right/bottom right as you drive in. Cars that are very 'low' should not drive over this. * When you arrive you will find Information/House Rules in the kitchen area. Please take the time to read them.
