Rooks View: Dog friendly cottage in the garden

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Originally a stable, this stone built building set within the curtelidge of an historic medieval manor house, has been sympathetically renovated to create an oasis of peace and quiet for a couple looking to escape their busy lives and recharge their batteries. The space Set within the garden of Fursdons, a medieval manor house dating back to the 1400's, Rooks View at Chipley Escapes was originally a stable but was also used to isolate family members who had contracted TB 200 years ago. Infact, when Fiona and Alby bought the property in 2017, the previous owners still referred to the derelict stone building as the TB Shed! Now fully renovated and extended, it has lofty vaulted celings, a spacious living/dining area with log burner and a fully equipped kitchen with oven, grill, fridge freezer, microwave and toaster. The bedroom has a comfy double bed with bedside tables, wall lights and hooks to hang your clothes, a full length mirror and a hairdryer. There is an electrically controlled skylight with black out blind. The ceilng is vaulted and a tall window looks out onto the garden. Outside, there is a wrap around patio with plenty of space to relax, outside seating and BBQ area. Why is it called Rooks View? Well, as you sit on the patio with your glass of wine enjoying the sunshine, you overlook our woodland with a parliament of rooks - the collective noun for a rooks! You can watch as they nest, squabble and collect food for their chicks bringing it back to the nests high in the trees!
