Farmhouse at the forest edge

A renovated farmhouse where the fields stop and the forest starts. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and one big living room where ten people can actually sit down together. Cold months: wood-burning fireplace, private sauna, central heating. Warm months: fire pit, barbecue, and a garden that runs out towards the sunset. There is also a piano. Close enough to Trier and the Luxembourg border for day trips, far enough out that you hear birds before you hear traffic. The space Five bedrooms, each with double bed - with various sizes: three doubles (140cm), one queen (160cm) one king (180cm) Room-darkening shades throughout, so early sunrises are optional. The master has an ensuite bathroom and opens into the fifth bedroom (140 cm), where the sauna cabin stands. The two are one suite: the only way in is through the master, so it suits a family or friends sharing. A fully equipped kitchen, side-by-side fridge / freezer, electric and gas stove, drip coffee maker, oven and microwave, blender, extended cooking equipment and cutlery. The tap water is drinkable. Guest access The entire house and garden are yours, with a private entrance and no shared spaces. Let yourself in with the lockbox any time after 16:00 I usually reply within the hour and I am reachable throughout your stay. Dropping luggage off before check-in or after checkout is normally fine, just ask. Other things to note Unfortunately, Pets - especially dogs - are not allowed inside the house. House keeping can be arranged for an extra fee Possibility for charging of your EV with a proper wallbox can be arranged for usage based consumption (€0.39/kWh) - plesase do not use a standard 220V socket - the wiring in the house is not rated for it and it can create a real fire hazard. The house is looked after by smart-home technology, so you should know what is there and what isn't. Sensors register open doors and windows, and movement in hallways to automate smart lights. Water, gas and electricity are metered for the house as a whole. There are no cameras and no microphones, indoors or out, and nothing tracks individual guests - it is all there to keep the house efficient, not to watch you. In winter, if a window is left open in a cold room, that room's heating pauses after a few minutes and comes back on once you close it.
