Description
We’ve just reopened and would love to welcome you! Experience Local Life In a village within Unzen-Amakusa National Park, our beach house stands on a unique stony shore. We self-renovated this home with love, hand-crafting the fire pit and seaside deck. Nurtured plants welcome you inside. Other things to note Important Information for Your Stay Our facility is not a luxury hotel or a brand-new resort. It is a place we have lovingly renovated and built with our own hands, growing alongside the surrounding nature. We are delighted to welcome guests who can appreciate and find beauty in this unique environment. Facility & Comfort Climate Control: Each guest room is equipped with air conditioning. However, like most traditional Japanese houses, we do not have central heating, and areas like the bathroom and toilets may feel the outside temperature more directly. Hand-crafted Character: As a self-renovated property, it lacks the polished perfection of a modern hotel. Instead, we offer a rustic, soulful atmosphere that cherishes the passage of time. Living with Nature Local Wildlife: Given our location, you will likely encounter insects. While we maintain strict cleaning standards, please understand that in a natural environment—especially during humid seasons—it is impossible to keep every insect or sand flea away. Our Cats: We are home to resident rescue cats. If you have severe allergies or are uncomfortable around animals or insects, we kindly ask you to consider your stay carefully. Sounds of the Environment Nature’s Voice: Facing the open sea, we experience a variety of weather. On windy days, especially in winter, you may hear the wind whistling through the structures of our old cottages. Village Life: You may also hear the peaceful sounds of the local community, such as the distant hum of grass being cut or a ship’s horn echoing from the sea. Shared Spaces & Community Other Guests: In addition to house guests, there may be others enjoying the site for camping or RV stays. We ask all guests to be mindful of one another to ensure a peaceful experience for everyone. The Beach: Our shore has been a part of village life for generations. It is not a private resort beach; you may see locals washing seasonal greens or anglers visiting the rocky coast. We invite you to experience the "real" rhythm of life here, rather than a typical resort stay. Registration Details Hotels and Inns Business Act | 熊本県天草保健所 | 熊本県指令 天保 第21号
