Modern villa with 180° sea view and heated saltwater pool
Built in classic modern style, Villa D2 has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large living area with open kitchen. All rooms are fitted with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and offer spectacular 180 degree views of the Atlantic Ocean. On the more than 150 square meters outdoor terraces you will find in every season a nice place - and a 3 x 9 m saltwater pool. The exceptional villa stands on a 5.800 square meter plot, which is located below the village Tijarafe, on the west side of the Canary Island of La Palma. At about 500 meters altitude it is located in the best climate zone of the island. The open living area of the house extends over two levels. On the upper level you will find a fully equipped kitchen with large fridge, induction cooker, convection oven and dishwasher. A washing machine is available in the adjoining utility room. The dining area connects directly to the large kitchen island with concrete slab. A solid wood table accommodates up to 7 people, with views from different windows. Here you can meet for dinner or sit together in the evening. The lower living room can be reached from the dining area via a few steps. It has a ceiling height of 3.60 m and correspondingly high windows, which provide a spectacular view of the Atlantic. For example, from the large sofa area, which can easily accommodate more than 4 people. A modern, easy-to-use wood-burning stove is ready for the few days of the year, when it gets a little cooler. Or just for a romantic evening. The living room and the kitchen have a sealed concrete floor, which stores the heat of the day and on which you can also walk barefoot pleasant. The two spacious bedrooms are equipped with double beds (180 x 200 cm). One of the beds can also be set up as two separate single beds (90 x 200 cm). In both bedrooms, 270 cm high and 240 cm wide picture windows offer an unobstructed view of the landscape and the Atlantic Ocean. And if you want, even at night on the magnificent starry sky, for which the island is famous. But do not worry, blackout curtains are also available. In both rooms, a plank floor as a massive larch provides a pleasant room climate. Fitted wardrobes offer enough space for clothes and new acquisitions. The two bathrooms face east and have long window ledges, allowing plenty of natural light. High-quality fittings, modern toilet and washbasin, extra-wide walk-in showers with comfort shower and a bath tub in the larger bathroom complete the picture. The smaller bathroom is integrated in the front bedroom, the larger is right next to the back bedroom and is also accessible from the hallway. In the spacious outdoor area concrete terraces and wooden decks alternate. There are seating areas on various levels, a covered terrace in front of the kitchen, terraces with integrated wooden decks around the living room and an exit or a small separate terrace in front of the bedrooms. The pool area also has a large wooden sundeck with sun loungers and parasols. From here you can look across the pool at the Atlantic, which spreads out in front of you. The 9 x 3 meter pool has a water depth of 1.40 meters and is filled with salt water, which in contrast to the usual chlorine content is more compatible with skin and eyes. A solar outdoor shower is also available. The villa was built in 2018 on a 5.800 sqm plot. In the back garden is reminiscent of the formerly agricultural use of the region, here fruit trees and avocados are planted. Behind it are natural parts in a "barranco", a small gorge that also belongs to the property. Around the house and the pool emerges a garden with palm trees, subtropical plants and succulents. We planned and equipped D2 together with a local architect as we imagine our dream home. We are sure that you too will feel well here and spend a wonderful holiday!
