Writer’s Nest by Orchard Life Farms is a private hilltop cottage in Mutholy, Kottayam, set within a 6-acre fruit farm in Kerala. This peaceful farm stay offers orchard views, complete privacy, and a true nature retreat experience. With a king-size bed, high-speed fibre Wi-Fi, and indoor and outdoor workspaces, it’s ideal for writers, digital nomads, couples, or anyone seeking a quiet Kerala getaway surrounded by greenery. The space The cottage features a single-room layout with air-conditioning, fan, and an attached bathroom with hot water. Large windows bring in natural light and greenery views. Just outside is a private lawn reserved for guests. An outdoor dining area and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with gas stove and utensils are available for simple cooking. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the cottage and its surrounding lawn. You’re welcome to walk around the fruit farm at any time and enjoy the open landscape. Indoor and outdoor desks with plug points are available for work. Seasonal fruits may be plucked for personal consumption within the property, subject to availability. Other things to note There are two ways to reach the property: one route includes a scenic 400 metres of off-road farm track, while an alternative paved road offers easier access to the farm. We’re also happy to assist with complimentary pickup and drop, including arrival and departure, with advance scheduling. The cottage sits within a working fruit farm, so you may occasionally see staff during the day. Power outages can happen depending on the local supply; we have inverter backup for lights, fans, and Wi-Fi, though AC and geyser won’t function during this time. Fruit availability is seasonal, and children are welcome with supervision. This space is best suited for guests who enjoy nature, quiet, and a slower pace of life.
