Re:treat Glamping is an exclusive 7-person luxury safari lodge positioned on it’s own private deck only one hour away from London. This beautifully equipped ensuite canvas & wood safari lodge nestles privately on our 22-acre smallholding. That means you’ll be staying exclusively & you’ll be free to explore the natural surroundings & footpaths on your doorstep. With acres of private space for relaxing on the pond side jetty, picnicing in the old orchard or toasting marshmallows on the firepit. The space Re:treat Glamping is a luxurious safari lodge situated on a raised platform with a large timber deck. There’s plenty of space to kick back and relax with views of the pond and of stunning sunsets over the hills at night. Re:treat has three bedrooms and can sleep 7 adults. There is a quirky and comfortable ‘den bed’ which houses a king size bed, a triple bunk room (King size bed with single bunk above) and a beautiful King size four poster bedroom. The large wood burning stove is at the hub of the open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area providing heat on chillier nights and a place to cook up a feast. The shower room has a fantastic family size shower with piping hot water and a picture frame window with views across the field in the other bathroom there’s a flushing toilet and sink. The raised front veranda of Re:treat is an impressive 3 metres deep and 8 metres wide and has an array of seating; a picnic table, Adirondack chairs and a cosy corner snug with planting and ambient lighting. The deck is the perfect spot to relax….from watching the sun setting each evening, watching the wildlife or getting out a board game out and having fun with family and friends. Re:treat has a well-stocked supply of indoor and outdoor games just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. For inspiration, there are a range of books with suggestions for outdoor and indoor games. Outside there is a fabulous tripod BBQ and swing hammock to relax in. You’ll find as standard beds made up on arrival with warm seasonal duvets, blankets and hot water bottles. Also included in the accommodation price are towels, Paraben free Toiletries, complementary locally sourced teas, coffee, hot chocolate and chai latte and local rapeseed oils. We’ll also provide you with an initial supply of wood, kindling and firelighters. There’s a huge array of indoor and outdoor games for all ages and a pedal tractor and trailor for little ones to enjoy during your stay. A hamper of toddler toys, books and toddler plates and cutlery are also available free on request. Guest access Please be aware that we are off grid (no electricity) with a 300 metre walk from the driveway to your accommodation. Please also note that there is a set of steps up to the entrance deck and down from the escape steps at the rear of the accommodation. There is a small solar powered fridge and there are solar powered lights which have a USB port to charge phones and devices. There are plenty of places in your own 16 acres to choose from to set up your games and have fun together. Whether it’s relaxing on the jetty or pond dipping (nets provided) the pond area is an enchanting place to while away time. There’s also a small summerhouse complete with rocking chairs to take in the views of the pond and relax with a good book. The Old Orchard is the perfect spot to picnic, play outdoor games or make dens in the spinney. The pretty local villages and pubs in Pulloxhill, Silsoe & Flitton are accessible via footpaths across the adjacent fields. Maps are provided showing the walking routes to the villages, shops and play parks. The pond has visiting moorhens and ducks as well as the occasional heron. Swallows can also be spotted, more often than not, catching insects from above the surface of the pond. We’ve also spotted hawks, kestrel, deer, foxes and the occasional hare at Re:treat and there’s also evidence of badgers. In the neighbouring farmer’s field adjacent to the pond and hidden behind the hedgerow there are beehives. You may spot the beekeeper tending to his bees from time to time. Other things to note Please note that Re:treat Glamping is strictly non-smoking accommodation and non-smoking site.We aim to provide you with all of the basics you need included in the price such as bedding, towels, basic kitchen provisions and paraben free uk made toiletries. We can also provide toddler games, books and provisions such as toddler cutlery if you are bringing little ones. As well as an a great range of indoor and outdoor games, there is also a pedal tractor and trailor for little ones. There is also a pond dipping kit and fish food to feed the fish from the pond side jetty.
