The space Our cosy cottage is tucked away in the shadow of a round tower with views of the bay right in the heart of the village. The living space with high vaulted ceiling and solid fuel/wood stove, stereo, TV and DVD provides a relaxing area for all the family. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine and dishwasher Guests have the full use of the cottage and gardens. There is a barbecue area in the back garden, garden furniture and bench at the front making it a special place to sit and have morning coffee. We have a lovely lady in the village who can answer all your queries and give local information. From the cottage you can walk 5 minutes to the pier and buy fresh fish for dinner or you visit the local pubs for the craic. You can explore this village that is steeped in history with our own round tower and cathedral . Killala was was the first town garrisoned by a small French army under the command of General Humbert in 1798. For the children there is a state of the art playground five minutes walk from the cottage. The cottage is ideal for touring north Mayo including the the world famous Ceide fields.
