Come and experience a luxurious country getaway at our beautifully converted manor house, originally built in 1637. Our home is beautifully decorated and done up to the highest standards. Large lounge area with seating for 12, 2 wood burning stoves, a 65" TV with access to Sky. Sonos sound system & fast Wifi. Separate dining room for 12. The property is surrounded by a walled garden and paddock area set on 3 acres. Gated on-site parking. This is our second home, not a holiday let. The space There are 4 guest bedrooms available in our 8 bedroom home. Bedroom 1: Superking sized bed with en-suite bathroom including both a bath and shower, located on the 1st floor. Bedroom 2: King sized bed with en-suite bathroom, including a shower over bath, located on the 2nd floor. Bedroom 3: Twin beds that share Bedroom 2’s bathroom, located on the 2nd floor. Bedroom 4: Twin beds with their own bathroom that has a bath and shower Guest access Our beautiful country home has easy access to many beautiful country-side walks along public footpaths. There are many pretty little villages and towns in the area which are all worth visiting, plus lots of great country-pubs and award-winning restaurants: - Bruton: 20 min drive Trendy village with fantastic, award-winning restaurants - At the Chapel, Roth Bar, Da Costa & Matt's Kitchen, as well as Michelin-starred Osip, which won best restaurant of the year in 2025. You can also find lovely shops and the world famous Contemporary art gallery Hauser & Wirth. - Castle Cary: 10 min drive Fantastic food market on Tuesdays with beautiful organic veg and local fish. Lots of independent shops and the best food deli and wine shop. - The Newt: 10 min drive The World renowned country estate, known for its beautiful gardens, woodland walks, farm shop, restaurants and cider press. A must visit when in the area. - Batcombe: 15 min drive Home to the wonderful gastro pub, The Three Horseshoes, which recently won best restaurant in the world by National Geographic. - Glastonbury: 15 min drive Quirky independent shops, great pubs and live music make Glastonbury a must. Walk up Glastonbury Tor at sunrise or sunset for a mystical experience. - Frome: 25 min drive Another trendy little town with lots of independent shops, great bakeries and an incredible independent market on the first Sunday of every month. - Wells: 25 min drive England's smallest city, stunning Wells is definitely worth a visit with its distinctive Cathedral and unique moated Bishop's Palace. Not to mention the more well-known attractions in the surrounding areas such as, Cheddar Gorge, the Wookey Hole Caves, Bath & West Showground and the Kilver Court Gardens. We are also under an hour away from Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Weston-super-Mare and Sherborne. Other things to note This is our second home not a holiday home. We strive to provide a cosy, warm environment for your holiday and we hope that our guests will treat it like their home away from home and show it care and respect. You will find some of our belongings around the house, which we kindly ask you to respect. All the bedrooms are guest bedrooms so free from any of our belongings and they provide plenty of space for your things. All of our personal bedrooms are locked and cannot be accessed. This is not a party house. We will not accept any stays for any parties, stags, hens etc. No more than 6 adults are allowed. There is an option to add 1 extra child for a fee. We can also offer a fully-catered stay as we use the property to host health retreats.
