The Cottage at Lake Six is a place we use ourselves, and we’ve thoughtfully designed it to feel easy, relaxed, and enjoyable from the moment you arrive. While it’s not a luxury resort, it’s a cozy and well-cared-for lake cottage that’s perfect for simple, memorable stays. We take pride in keeping the space clean, stocked, and ready for each guest. Please let us know if anything was missed during your stay. Our goal is for you to feel at home, enjoy the lake, and leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. We especially love hosting guests who appreciate a relaxed, well-cared-for space and treat it like their own. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage. We do keep a locked cabinet and storage shed outdoors where we keep supplies to service our property. There is a pontoon sitting in the water that guests may sit on to enjoy the view or cast a line. We will send you a door code the day of your arrival. Other things to note FIREWOOD: Nothing says “lake weekend” like time around the fire. We offer firewood for $30, which includes approximately a 1/4 rick—typically more than enough wood for a weekend stay. Firewood is also available at local gas stations. You can expect to pay around $8 for a small bundle of pine (usually about three pieces), which burns more quickly. To help prevent the spread of invasive pests and tree disease, we kindly ask that any firewood brought in comes from within 10 miles of the cottage. If you’d like firewood ready when you arrive, just let us know—we’re happy to have it set up for you. NON MOTORIZED BOATS: One of the best parts of staying here is time spent outside and on the lake. We can accommodate up to 8 guests with the use of a pull-out couch or air mattress. Additional guests beyond 4: $25 per person, per stay This allows us to provide enough linens, towels, and supplies for your group. Guests added after arrival will be subject to a $40 per person, per stay fee to cover additional coordination and cleaning.
