Historic Delaware River Retreat

Welcome to the historic Lordville Schoolhouse. Perched along the Delaware River, this unique structure has stood since the 1870s. But don't worry - it contains all the modern amenities and comfort you need. Relax on the spacious porch, lounge or cook in the open and airy living area, and rest in the inviting bedrooms. Set in the woods, the schoolhouse is a short walk to the river, a short drive to The Ledges hike, and is near the towns of Hancock, Equinunk, and Callicoon. The space The house has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an open-concept kitchen/dining area connected to a large living room. The living room has two seating areas, and a cabinet with books and games. Set slightly back from a quiet road, the house is easy to get to but also feels secluded. Look out any window and you'll see forest! Out the back door you'll find a view of the beautiful mountainside. If the porch stairs are challenging for anyone in your party, you may choose to come and go through the back door, which has a single step and a flat walk to the driveway. We don't have a TV or cell service, but there is WiFi. Other things to note Keep an eye out for decor that pays homage to the buildings past. You might even find an inscription left by a young vandal over 100 years ago!
