Description
Tranquil cabin stay in the middle of a forest. Meandering babbling brook winds right past with nothing but the birds and sheep and horses. Peaceful setting in the midst of nature. We have horses and sheep roaming on the land who are very friendly, the horses especially love a fuss! We have a large barbecue outside you are more than welcome to use as-well as outside dining areas by the river. There are plunge pools up river to cool off on hot days and table and chairs in one of the fields The space The lodge is completely self containing, accessed by wooden stairs it’s elevated to give the best views over the land, outside there’s a bench on the elevated decking, you can put your feet up and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding forest and flock of grazing sheep on the land. Steve lives directly opposite the lodge in his own house, the lodge isn’t completely remote on its own and we do ask to let us know if you’re inviting more than 4 people are arriving. Any large parties will be turned away as this is a family farm, however we are happy to have 1 or 2 extra guests stay as long as you’re transparent about extra guests before your arrival and it’s agreed upon. Thank you for your understanding. Inside there’s a comfy sofa right infront of the large log burner. We supply an unlimited amount of free wood and kindling. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking with a two ring electric stove top. Microwave. Kettle with tea, coffee and sugar supplied. Fridge and storage. There’s a double bed and two singles, brand new extremely squishy mattresses with storage underneath the beds for clothing. Bath and hand towels supplied. Dining table which seats 4. Bathroom with walk in shower and large shower head, toilet and washbasin. Black out blinds for anyone that needs darkness to sleep, prepare to set an alarm if you need to as the rushing water from the river running outside sends you into a sleep hypnosis, there’s nothing like sleeping to the sounds of water, nature and the freshest of air! Guest access You can use the BBQ areas, the garden outside the lodge has a trampoline and we have a treehouse at the other end of the field children can play in as well as rope swings. Horses graze on the land so please ensure you close any gates that are already closed to stop them getting injured. They are very friendly and love any interaction from guests! Other things to note There are lots of hikes and walks straight off the land, as well as neighbouring towns such as Ruthin and Denbigh. The nearest shops are in Ruthin (Tesco, Aldi, Coop) and The Red Lion and The Crown Inn are the nearest pubs. Please note there is absolutely no signal for wifi at the lodge or shepherds hut. The Wifi will not stretch from the main house to the outer properties. Please download films before your journey. You can get signal straight off the farm by the gate Incase of emergencies.
