Zero waste and eco-friendly ✓approach: used furniture, compost, laundry detergent and eco-friendly cleaning products, bulk bags available. ✓Access to vegetable garden herbs The space Within our small property with an atypical layout and our espalier garden, the independent studio where we offer you to stay has been renovated by us, and furnished in the simplest way possible, as we would have done for ourselves, in a zero-waste approach. Most of the furniture, dishes and decorations were bought second-hand. The place has been designed to offer our friends, family and passing travelers a "slow", quiet and comfortable stay. We often call this place our "cabin". In a charming village in the Eure Valley, 25 minutes from the gardens of Giverny, we hope that travelers will find rest at our home. You will find loose tea and coffee (Italian coffee maker), books, board games in the accommodation. The bathroom is equipped with hygiene products, hairdryer and towels (cotton foutas, which dry quickly even without a towel warmer). At the moment, the studio is not equipped with WiFi, but the mobile data signal works well. We take special care to use only natural household products and laundry detergent. Guest access You have full access to the rooms in the studio during your stay, as well as access to the gardens. You can also use the vegetable garden in a reasonable manner for aromatic plants (sage, rosemary, mint, lemon balm, chives, parsley, oregano). Our accommodation is not a sanitized place: we use it to host our loved ones, but also personally as a place to work, cook in the summer, and rest. That's why you'll find books and board games on site that you can use freely. We also store some more personal belongings there, such as children's clothing and family archives, which we ask that you respect. Other things to note 🔸Our accommodation is located on a sloping street. As a result, access requires climbing a few steps. 🔹The bedroom of the accommodation is located on a mezzanine, which is accessed by a folding miller's ladder. The bedding may also surprise you, although we have only had positive feedback: the bed is a rice straw tatami, with cotton futon and wool duvet. It is a very firm bed, as Japanese bedding usually is, but on which you sleep well. 🔅In case of high heat, or at your request (teen, toddler, fear of the mezzanine... for example), we can prepare an additional comfortable bed, namely the unfolded sofa bed, on which we add a mattress topper. The capacity remains a maximum of 2 adults. 🔺Long stays (more than 3 weeks) are quite possible. However, the studio and our accommodation, where we live with our two young children, are on the same property (common entrance, shared garden). That's why we prefer to chat with you by message, or even by phone, before validating this type of reservation.
