"Glen Heather" Farm Cottage
"Glen Heather" Farm Cottage
Description
You'll love the serenity of our traditionally styled cottage nestled at the end of a valley. The natural amphitheatre is a magical location full of birds and sunshine, with Meroo Creek running through. No passing traffic, just the native wildlife, our chooks, sheep and cattle. There's lots to do: explore our 275 acres, fossick for gold, enjoy local wineries, feast in Mudgee, and more. The sunny 2-bedroom cottage is self-contained and very comfortable, and we're nearby if you need us. The space The Cottage at "Glen Heather" is ideal for a couple, a family or a small group of friends. The two bedrooms each have a queen bed, and the sofa-bed can be put into use if necessary. Tea, coffee, milk and continental breakfast items (i.e. muesli, cereals, bread & spreads) are provided, as are linen, towels, soap and shampoo. Guest access While you're here you'll have access to 275 acres of varied country, from river frontage to the top of the hills that are a challenge for fit walkers and keen 4WDers. Kids will love our animals, which can be hand-fed. Other things to note The Cottage has reliable (Starlink) wi-fi but no mobile reception. We are about 35 minutes drive from Mudgee. Be aware that we're at the end of 8km of a windy gravel road, so it can be dusty or muddy. You can drive it in a regular car (but take your time); no need for 4WD. Watch out for kangaroos! We ask that you keep your showers short and avoid any wastage of water, as our water supply is limited to the rain that falls and the tanks we can store it in. We are on off-grid, battery-powered solar, so please avoid having all the lights on all night, and running air conditioning after sunset (most nights are pretty cool).
