The Beeches is a caravan park in the lovely village of Gilcrux with gorgeous views over the Solway Firth to Scotland. It has a playground for the kids, a post office with shop and a laundry room. The Masons Arms pub and restaurant across the road .The beach at Allonby is a 10 minute drive, Cockermouth with an array of bars and restaurants is only 10 minutes away. We are close to the Lake District national park for walking /climbing/cycling/sailing or paragliding. Keswick is 18 miles. The space Our caravan has everything you need with a shower room and ensuite in the main bedroom. TV, dvd, wifi, fridge freezer, microwave, gas oven and hob , toaster kettle etc, double glazing, central heating and electric fire. And when the sun shines there's a fenced and gated decking area to sit and chill. Well behaved dogs are welcome. The caravan can accommodate 4 people comfortably. Guest access The campsite has many facilities with a play area and large sand pit on site, post office/shop stocking basics and a launderette. The Masons Arms country inn, literally across the road, serves excellent food and is in the Camra guide pub of the year 2026 ! Pop in and see Hal who is very welcoming and dog friendly. Other things to note There is an onsite laundry room if required. The electric in the caravan is by coin operated meter, it takes £1 coins and is very economical, gas is by propane cylinder and is included.
