A 70's beach house in a small group of houses - 400m walk to Patchs Beach. Your space is the entire upstairs - one Queen bedroom/walk in robe, light filled living area and full kitchen, work space, large north facing deck with outdoor table and sitting area, large private yard, and filtered tank water. A comfortable home away from home by the beach. I'm downstairs (or not, at times) with my quiet and gentle bordoodle pup and our own private outdoor area. Available if you need. The space Patchs Beach Shack has a charming shabby chic vibe. Clean, comfy and cosy. You hear the constant ocean and bird life, feel the sea breeze, enjoy the gorgeous nature all around you, and chill out completely. A little piece of paradise that feels miles from the rest of the world but is only twenty five minutes to Ballina, Alstonville, Evan’s Head, and not much more to Byron Bay or Lismore. It's off the beaten track but less than ten minutes off the M1 at Coolgardie. The surrounding area is brimming with cafes, scenic drives, walks, beaches, rivers, pubs. I am happy to give you whatever information you need to find the things and places that interest you. Patchs Beach is dog friendly and attracts locals with their pups. It used to allow 4WD access but was closed to vehicles in 2020 which is much better for people and dogs. The beach is not patrolled. I swim regularly - most afternoons at the end of Gypsy and my walk - staying aware of what the ocean, tides, rips, currents are doing. When you pull up at Patchs Beach Shack, you have full use of the driveway to park off road. The yard is fully fenced. The stairs lead up to your place. Inside you will find an open plan living, dining, kitchen leading out onto the large covered deck. And a bathroom, bedroom and walk in robe/work space. The kitchen is fully equipped. You will need to bring the ingredients if you want to cook at home - I can help with that if needed. I will leave you a little stash of staples such as sourdough, butter, eggs, milk, coffee, tea and a treat. Or let me know what you'd prefer for breakfast. The closest shops are BP, Wardell Pie Shop, chemist and post office at Wardell about five kms away. The closest supermarket is Spar West Ballina 18 mins away. It’s a sleepy little corner of the world here at the shack. Guest access The whole of upstairs, the large north facing deck, the complete fenced backyard, and the driveway.
