Wonderful Villa la Coccola with heatable pool 8 p.

Villa La Coccola is a seductive farmhouse whose oldest part dates back to the mid-700s. Leaning against a terraced ground with a marked line of limestone blocks facing the pool area and the pool house - a combination giving strong character to the property - Villa La Coccola welcomes guests immediately showing itself for what it is ... a beautiful refuge for those seeking relaxation and tranquility. The space The upper area looks like a balcony on the hills that slope down into the underlying valley boasting a 180 degrees view over this characteristic part of Tuscany, to admire, maybe at sunset, enjoying a glass of wine by the pool. The large yard facing the pool house has several seats suitable for resting, having a conversation or reading a book. The pool in travertine and ceramic tiles surrounded by a larch wood platform, has an elongated, strict and narrow shape, reminiscent of the ancient tanks where the farm animals were watered. The water is salty, has two hydrojets and can be heated upon request (€ 500 supplement to be paid on spot), thus allowing guests to enjoy the pool even in colder months (closed from 1st November to 30th March, when the weather is fine it might be open the first weeks of November as well). Guest access Villa La Coccola consists of two units: the pool house and the main building. The pool house is an open space obtained from the restoration of an old barn, on the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen (big refrigerator with freezer, stove with 5 burners, microwave oven, dishwasher, kettle, tiny wine-cellar, mixer, coffee-makers, toaster) and on the mezzanine there is a living area with satellite TV. The patio is equipped with table and chairs for open air meals right in front of the pool, thus enjoying the atmosphere and the beauty of the surrounding landscape. On the ground floor of the farmhouse there is a large open space with a living area, a second fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, stove with 5 hobs, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker) and a dining area for meals indoor. Beyond the living room there is a passage room with a French size sofa bed and a toilet. Still on the ground floor there is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. On the upper floor there are 3 finely furnished double bedrooms (two of which with detachable king-size beds, the master bedroom and the violet one) each one distinguished by style and colors, all with ensuite bathrooms with shower and air conditioning. The master bedroom has a passage room with a single sofa bed, it can therefore accommodate 3 persons. Thanks to the terraced ground, the bedrooms have direct access to the rear side of the farmhouse with the pool area, that can be reach climbing few steps. A fourth bedroom is located in the turret in front of the farmyard, has private access and is also equipped with air conditioning and ensuite bathroom with shower. Outdoor areas are embellished with flowers, bushes, medicinal plants and trees. Guests have a barbecue at their disposal and at the entrance, beyond the automatic gate, they will find a large car park where they can park their cars and reach the villa with a pleasant walk. The typical Tuscan landscape surround the property, made of vineyards, olive groves, cypresses, woods, farming estates, hamlets. The villa is a few minutes away from the town center of Poggibonsi with all kinds of shops and supermarkets, dine in one of the many restaurants and admire the magnificence of the Medici walls of the Poggio Imperiale Fortress, the most important one built by Lorenzo Il Magnifico, from where one can enjoy the spectacular landscape of the Chianti hills. Villa la Coccola is also an excellent base for visiting Tuscany. In a short time you can reach S.Gimignano, Volterra, Siena, Florence, the Chianti, the Val D’Orcia, Pisa, Lucca and the coast, all the beauties of Tuscany within easy reach. Upon request we can arrange home chef services, cooking classes, trekking, bike tours, Vespa tours, wine and olive oil tastings, truffle hunting, customized cultural trips ... all for an unforgettable holiday in Tuscany. During the last week of July and the first 2 weeks of August there is a village festival on the hill above and sometimes live music is heard in the evening. Other things to note Living area can be heated by pellet stove (pellet against payment). The cost for GPL heating is according to consumption. The pool can be heated on request. Supplement to be paid on the spot (to be requested at least 3 days before arrival and for minimum 4 days).
