The Word Crone Cottage

Welcome to The Word Crone Cottage, a cozy storybook retreat designed for rest, creativity, and a touch of everyday magic. The Cottage is especially suited for artists, writers, and dreamers. A dedicated writing nook provides a peaceful space to think, work, or finally begin that project you’ve been meaning to start. The space The Word Crone Cottage is the original house on our property. A cinderblock shell, it was completely renovated in 1999 - insulation, sheetrock, rim-set and hardwood floors, electricity and indoor plumbing. (It was pretty rustic before that renovation.) Since, it's been renovated at least twice to include the built-in desk and alcove bed. It is very tiny, but very twee. It is ideal for a solo visitor, but includes a trundle bed that can be pulled out at night to accomodate a second guest. Guest access Feel free to wander the yard. Please respect the privacy of our neighbors. As for us, we live on the property. Don't hesitate to call on us anytime. I work from home, and can most often be found in my outdoor office. (Similar black building on the opposite side of the yard.) Ours is a deadend road, two miles long. There are no sidewalks (no shoulders in places) but it's a pleasant walk. Other things to note Please, don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything! We live on the property, and most days, I can be found in the yard or in my office in a similar structure on the property, opposite side of the yard from the cottage.
