Originally established in the 1850s as a colonial inn, the property retains its historic charm while offering comfortable spaces to relax and enjoy a memorable country escape. There are two open verandas for entertainment with easy access to the large backyard for playing, walking and exploring. Other things to note Blackwood is a peaceful historic township surrounded by forest and nature within the Lerderderg State Park region. Guests will often see native wildlife such as kangaroos and a variety of birdlife around the property. As the building dates back to the 1850s, it retains much of its original character and charm, which is part of the unique experience of staying here.
