The space This cosy and elegant suite retains all the historic charm typical of the Friuli hills, thanks to a very recent restoration project that has successfully integrated modern comforts into an authentic setting. It is immaculately maintained and bright, thanks to its high ceilings and very large windows, which can be screened as required by both blackout and light-filtering curtains. There is a bedroom equipped with every comfort, featuring a queen-size double bed and furnished with early 20th-century furniture, as well as a comfortable sofa bed in the living area, making it perfect for solo travellers, couples and families of four. The bathroom, with its attention to detail and high-quality finishes, offers a very spacious shower cubicle and a full range of toiletries, including shampoo, shower gel and a hairdryer. There are also various custom-built storage compartments to accommodate all your personal belongings, including suitcases. In addition to towels of various sizes, you’ll find bed linen, blankets, duvets, two sets of pillows of different softness levels, and everything you need to make your stay perfect. There is an induction hob, a fridge with a small freezer compartment (stocked with snacks and free water), a dishwasher, a kettle, a toaster, a microwave, a coffee machine and a selection of teas to suit every taste, a wine cooler and everything you need for cooking. In the living area, there is a comfortable sofa bed, a 43-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV and internet connection There are also some communal areas at your disposal: On the ground floor, you’ll find a room with the traditional Friulian ‘Fogolàr’, an ancient hearth that was not only a source of heat but the heart of the home, where people once cooked and shared evening stories; here, you can spend some time reading a book and enjoying a moment of relaxation in the authentic atmosphere of traditional Friulian homes. The garden, bordered by a centuries-old stone wall, is the ideal spot for al fresco breakfasts or for relaxing in the sun. Under the pergola, sheltered by a very old vine, you’ll find a charming shaded spot for reading, al fresco dining or resting whilst immersed in the silence of the countryside. For e-bike enthusiasts, we have dedicated charging points so you can start each day with maximum range. Finally, the property also offers a laundry area with a washing machine and tumble dryer, an ironing board and iron, and a clothes horse, all available for guests’ use. Other things to note A packed breakfast is included. For safety reasons, you are not permitted to use the wood-burning stoves in the kitchen or the fireplace on the ground floor.
