Chalet du Michel – A timeless stay

Nestled in the heart of nature, a 15-minute walk from the center of Cassel, our chalet offers you a unique, timeless experience. Set in 6,500 m² of unspoiled natural surroundings, enjoy a breathtaking view. A Nordic bath, unique décor, and a cozy atmosphere make every stay memorable. Goats and chickens will delight young and old. Ideal for couples or families, this cozy haven combines comfort and authenticity. The space Welcome to Chalet du Michel, We are pleased to welcome you to the heights of Mont Cassel, in this little corner of nature that we love so much. This 30 m² chalet has been lovingly conceived and furnished as a unique, warm, and authentic space, designed to offer you a truly timeless getaway. The highly original décor has been carefully crafted, combining vintage items, natural materials, and unique touches. Every detail has been thought out to create a warm and inspiring atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The chalet can accommodate up to 2 adults and 3 young children: it has a double bed for adults, as well as sleeping spaces suitable only for children, with a small, secure mezzanine cabin (sleeps 2) and an extra sleeping space located under the bed. The Nordic bath is one of the great pleasures of the Chalet du Michel 🌿 We invite you to make the most of it, whether at sunset, sunrise, in summer, or in winter… every moment offers a unique atmosphere. Breakfast is included and already available in the cottage upon your arrival, featuring local and/or homemade products. The animals (goats, chickens) are an integral part of the place and contribute to this nature experience. You can collect eggs directly from the henhouse at the entrance, for a simple and authentic experience that will delight young and old alike. To enhance your leisure time: classic board games, a record player with timeless hits, and a selection of books on personal development are available for your enjoyment. Here, take the time to admire the scenery at any time of the day and be amazed by the magnificent sunsets. More than just accommodation, Chalet du Michel is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simple pleasures, as a couple or as a family. Guest access Check-in is done independently from 3 p.m. onwards. So you can arrive at a time that suits you, freely. Access to the chalet is via a key box located on the wooden post of the entrance gate. The code will be shared with you on the day of your arrival. Access & parking: When you arrive by road, you will find a gate and a dedicated parking area, covered with gravel, where you can park your vehicle. ⚠️ Important: Please do not drive your vehicle down the dirt road to the right of the gate. This road is not suitable for cars: it is a pedestrian walkway, also used occasionally by agricultural vehicles. Please do not use it. On the other hand, we strongly recommend that you go for a walk there. The views there are absolutely breathtaking! The chalet is just a few meters from the parking lot. It can easily be accessed on foot. Guests have access to the entire cottage as well as the private outdoor areas. The 6,500-square-meter (1.6-acre) property allows you to fully enjoy the surrounding nature. The Nordic bath is free to use during the stay. ⚠️ Certain technical or storage areas remain private. Pets & outdoors: Pets are an integral part of the spirit of Chalet du Michel. They live here, in their natural environment, and play a full role in maintaining the balance and authenticity of the place. We kindly ask you to observe them with care and respect. Some areas (enclosures) are demarcated for their safety. ⚠️ Electric fences are installed inside the enclosures to protect the animals from external predators, such as foxes. Please do not touch the wires or enter these areas. Simply observe For their well-being, please: Do not feed them Do not attempt to touch them Do not enter the enclosures The pond: There is a pond at the bottom of the property, accessible via a path protected by a gate. ⚠️ Access to this area remains the responsibility of the parents. Particular vigilance is required with children.
