Nestled in the heart of nature, a 15-minute walk from the centre of Cassel, our chalet offers you a unique, timeless experience. Enjoy breathtaking views across 6,500 m² of unspoiled nature. A Nordic bath, original décor, and a warm atmosphere make every stay unforgettable. Goats and chickens will delight young and old alike. Ideal for couples or families, this cozy retreat combines comfort and authenticity. The space Welcome to Chalet du Michel, We are delighted to welcome you to the heights of Mont Cassel, in this little corner of nature that we love so much. This 30-m² chalet has been designed and furnished with love, as a special place—warm and authentic—created to offer you a true escape from time. The highly original décor was carefully crafted by combining found objects, natural materials, and unique touches. Every detail has been thought out to create a warm and inspiring atmosphere, where you immediately feel at home. The cottage can accommodate up to 2 adults and 3 young children: it has a double bed for adults, as well as sleeping accommodations suitable only for children, with a small, secure mezzanine cabin (2 sleeping accommodations) and an extra sleeping accommodation located under the bed. The Nordic bath is one of the great pleasures of Chalet du Michel 🌿 We invite you to make the most of it, whether at sunset, sunrise, in summer or in winter… every moment offers a unique atmosphere. Breakfast is included and already waiting for you in the cottage upon your arrival, featuring local and/or homemade products. The animals (goats, chickens) are an integral part of the place and play a role in this nature experience. You can pick up eggs directly from the henhouse at the entrance, for a simple and authentic experience that will delight young and old alike. To enhance your moments of relaxation, we offer classic board games, a turntable with timeless hits, and a selection of books on personal development. Here, take the time to admire the scenery at any time of day and be amazed by the magnificent sunsets. More than just accommodation, Chalet du Michel is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, whether as a couple or as a family. Guest access Check-in is done independently from 3 p.m. onwards. So you can arrive at a time that suits you, with complete flexibility. Access to the cottage is via a key box located on the wooden post of the entrance gate. The code will be shared with you on the day of your arrival. Access & parking: When you arrive by road, you will find a gate and a dedicated parking area, covered with pebbles, where you can park your vehicle. ⚠️ Important: Please do not enter the property with your vehicle via the dirt road to the right of the gate. This path is not suitable for cars: it is a pedestrian walkway, also used occasionally by agricultural machinery. Please do not use it. Thank you. On the other hand, we strongly recommend that you go for a walk there. The view there is absolutely breathtaking! The cottage is located just a few metres from the parking lot. It's easily accessible on foot. Guests have access to the entire cottage as well as to the private outdoor areas. The 6,500-m² property allows you to fully enjoy the surrounding nature. The Nordic bath is freely accessible during the stay. ⚠️ Certain technical or storage areas remain private. Animals & the outdoors: Animals are an integral part of the spirit of Chalet du Michel. They live here, in their natural environment, and play a full role in the balance and authenticity of the place. We invite you to observe them gently and respectfully. Some areas (enclosures) are demarcated for their safety. ⚠️ There are electric fences inside the enclosures to protect the animals from outside predators, such as foxes. Please do not touch the wires or enter these areas. Simply observe For their well-being, please: Do not feed them Do not attempt to touch them Do not enter the enclosures The pond: There is a pond at the bottom of the property, accessible via a path protected by a gate. ⚠️ Parents remain responsible for access to this area. Particular vigilance is required when children are present.
