This newly constructed, three-bedroom chalet offers a private setting in an Acadian forest on the bank of the West River of Pictou. The space The open-concept great room is filled with light from the full wall of windows overlooking the river, with views from all sides to the forest outside. The main level features two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and laundry facilities, while the upstairs principal bedroom offers an ensuite with a shower. The kitchen is fully-equipped for cooking and serving meals, and even includes a few extras such as a waffle maker, popcorn machine, blender and Keurig coffee maker. The upstairs loft den is a family-friendly hideout that features a 55" television with streaming services, Wii system, board games and a desk / workstation. WiFi is available. Step out from the living room to the wrap-around deck where you will find a propane firepit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, a hot tub and a barbecue. A staircase to the river below features an ecological viewing deck for expansive views and water access. Launch a kayak or canoe from the floating dock and paddle upstream. Keep a lookout for wildlife on this tidal river and you may see deer, turtles, beavers, otters, seals, or breaching fish. A birders haven, with visits from eagles, hawks, owls, blue jays, woodpeckers, doves, robins, swallows, pheasants, and more. Or if you are so inclined, cast your line and try for striped bass, white perch, or trout (per provincial regulations) on this prominent fishing river.
