The space A peaceful lakeside retreat with private jetty and traditional wood-fired sauna – just 40 minutes from Stockholm. Spend slow mornings by the water, long days in the sun, and evenings with sauna and sunset views over the lake. Perfect for families and friends looking to unwind and spend quality time together – with generous space for cooking, dining, and relaxing over several days. During your stay, you can explore the surroundings with scenic bike rides around Ekerö, visit nearby Drottningholm Palace, enjoy golf at several courses within 20 minutes, take a day trip into Stockholm, or simply stay by the house and swim, fish, or head out on the lake by boat. The house is a great year-round destination – whether enjoying warm summer evenings or a traditional sauna experience in winter, followed by a refreshing cold dip. The entire private waterfront property including; # The villa (200 m²) is rented as a full private home, with access to the two main living floors. It comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests, with the possibility to host one additional guest (11 total). #The jetty and the wood-fired sauna area (comfortably accommodates + 10 guests) Is all exclusively for your use. ⸻ 🎉 HOSTING A CELEBRATION? Villa Svartsjö sleeps up to 11 overnight, but can welcome up to 22 guests for an afternoon or evening celebration — perfect for hen parties, bachelor parties, or a wedding dinner with extended family and friends who won't be staying the night. Seating is arranged around the weather: sunny days call for the lakeside sauna deck, while rainy ones move the party indoors. Larger gatherings (17–22 guests) require some advance preparation and a custom quote, so please message us before booking if you're planning a bigger group — we'll help you figure out exactly what works ⸻ Arrive in style – Lotus Super Seven experience available. If you’re celebrating something special, we offer a unique arrival experience. The guest of honor can be picked up in a classic Lotus Super Seven – a lightweight British sports car – for a scenic drive to Villa Svartsjö. The tour starts at Drottningholm Palace (or similar) and includes a beautiful 30 km drive along winding country roads before arriving at the house. While the guest of honor is on the tour, you’ll have time to prepare at the villa for a memorable arrival. The driver has extensive experience from both road and track driving and will adapt the experience to your preference. As the car has no roof, the experience is weather dependent. Price: 3300 SEK, Contact the host for availability. ⸻ Ssleeping arrangements Flexible sleeping arrangements make the house suitable for different group setups: Bedroom 1: Double bed (180 cm) Bedroom 2: Two single beds (2 x 90 cm) – can be prepared as either two separate beds or one king-size bed upon request*. Bedroom 3: Two single beds (2 x 80 cm) – can be prepared as either two separate beds or one double bed upon request*. Bedroom 4: Double bed (140 cm) Bedroom 5: Two single beds (90 cm + 80 cm) – can be arranged together or separately upon request*. Additional sleeping option: One extra guest can sleep on the upstairs sofa (upon request). Bedding is provided. Please note this is a walk-through area. Guests prepare this bed themselves, materials in the closet in bedroom 2. Please let us know your preferred bed setup when booking, *If no preference - the bed setup will be together. Please note: Bedroom 5 (ground floor) and the upstairs sofa area do not have blackout curtains or blinds. All other bedrooms are equipped with blackout solutions. During warm summer days, bedrooms may become warm. Each room are equipped with electric fans, and mosquito nets allow windows to be kept open at night. Due to natural countryside setting, light ambient sounds from a nearby road may occasionally be heard when windows are open. ⸻ What's included - no extra fees # Bed linen, towels and a lightweight cotton sauna robes are provided for each guest to use at the Villa Svartsjö. # Firewood for the sauna and fireplace. # Bathroom essentials sush as soap, shampoo and conditioner are available # The kitchen is equipped with all essential appliances, cookware and tableware. A starter supply of basics such as salt, pepper, oil, coffee and tea is available. # Electric car charging is available (charging box). Access requires a tag - please contac the host befor arrival if you wish to use the chargin box and get access to the tag. ⸻ The Sauna One of the highlights is the authentic sauna experience by the water, where you can enjoy a slower, more traditional way of unwinding – a true Scandinavian ritual. ⸻ The Lake The house is located by a calm inland lake connected to Lake Mälaren (no boat passage). The water near the jetty is approximately 1.5 meters deep, with a natural, soft lakebed. Like many natural lakes, aquatic vegetation may occur during warmer periods. This is a seasonal and natural phenomenon. The lake is perfect for swimming, paddleboarding (two boards available), rowing or fishing (rowboat available), or simply relaxing by the water and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. During warm summer days, bedrooms may become warm. Each room are equipped with electric fans, and mosquito nets allow windows to be kept open at night.
