The perfect spot for a walking trip, a base to explore Wales from or work quietly. I have two bedrooms available in my spacious home. There’s your own large sitting room (with double futon if needed ) and breakfast area where you will find all you need to give your day a good start. There is also a dedicated guest bathroom. A sun trap patio garden and barbecue. If you need two rooms please indicate by selecting 2 guests. If you also need the futon please select 3 guests. Towels provided. The space Welcome to Trefechan, which translates as 'Little Homestead' in Welsh. I designed and built this house 10 years ago and have two spare rooms (and dedicated bathroom) that are perfect for you to enjoy walking, swimming, cycling in the local area of Wales and nearby England or if you just want some quiet time The house is walking distance to plenty of pubs and cafés in Knighton (Tref-y-Clawdd), as well as being a 5 minute walk to the River Teme, the Offa's Dyke path, the Heart of Wales railway line and a 20-30 minute drive from the towns of Ludlow and Leominster in England. I can offer plenty of tips for walking routes and my favourite spots nearby. The rooms on offer contain a standard double and a small double (can fit 1-4 guests), and you'll have your own dedicated bathroom and sitting room and breakfast room. There is also a double futon in the large guest sitting room. I'll provide you with breakfast each day and you're welcome to use the barbecue in the evenings - weather dependent. If you'd like a packed lunch for days out, let me know and I can make this up for you with local produce for £8/person. If you want to book both bedrooms please indicate by selecting ‘2 adults’. If you also need the futon please indicate by selecting ‘3 adults’. Guest access You have your own bedroom(s) and bathroom on the first floor and living room and breakfast room on the top floor. During your stay I'll be around if you have any questions! Other things to note This is a great place to explore Offa’s Dyke - being the only town on the dyke. Walking guides and maps can be found in your sitting room. And I also provide a map showing shorter walks around Knighton and all our local pubs and cafes.
