Cosy Country Retreat, The Wend's End Lodge

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Settled in a rural landscape, you are surrounded by farmland where sheep and pheasants are the locals. Come here to relax and completely switch off. Alternatively immerse yourself in what area can offer; Walking, Wild Swimming, Cycling and much more. Meet the Pygmy Goats. They are very popular, you can sit and watch them play. Unfortunately we are unsuitable for wheelchair users due to terrain and layout constraints. See "Guest access". The space The property is a secluded cosy log cabin. It consists of a well equipped kitchen. A living room, with a retractable table should you want to sit down to eat. There is also an outside dining area. The sofa is in font of a fitted Murphey bed in a compartment behind it which pulls down to become a fully made up bed (see images) It's a simple, and efficient use of the space provided, it then folds away and is ready for the next night. Ann your host will show you how it works on arrival or you can read the instructions in the bedside cabinet. The bathroom is stylish, clean and warm . At the front elevation is a picture window and French doors both South facing with spectacular views. The Lodge is designed in an L shape configuration which provides you with complete privacy. The Wend's End Lodge shares the land with the hosts home but you can't be seen by them. A lovely bonus with your stay, is that you can watch cascading sheep coming down the hill when the farmer arrives at feeding times. Guest access Unfortunately we are unsuitable for wheelchair users due to terrain and layout constraints. We are in a very rural location and the cabin's design is physically too small to fit a wheelchair turning circle or installing a ramp up an uphill, uneven rural track. Other things to note Due to goats living on site we are sorry but can't allow dogs. Not suitable for under 18s We have a strict no smoking or vaping policy in the building, but have provided an on the wall cigarette disposal ashtray outside. We are in a rural area, surrounded by livestock. We ask that you respect the country codes. Please don't play loud music after 10.00 We don't have a carbon monoxide alarm as all the heating and hot water are electric. We have an Air Fryer in place of an oven in the kitchen.
