Most properties in Chamarel are rustic. This one isn't. Warm interiors, contemporary design, AC in both room, and the kind of quiet that makes you put your phone down. Two king beds, outdoor dining, and a garden big enough to disappear into. The space You pull up, step out of the car, and the first thing you notice is the silence. Not quiet. Silence. No traffic, no neighbours, no background hum. Just trees, birds, and the sound of your own breathing slowing down. The villa sits on a hillside with panoramic views over Chamarel's forest canopy, and you see it from the moment you walk through the door. The living area is where this villa separates itself from everything else in the area. Chamarel accommodation tends to lean rustic. This doesn't. The design is warm and contemporary: clean lines, natural materials, a mountain-lodge feel, but everything is new and well maintained. The kitchen has what you need for real cooking.The dining area opens directly to the terrace, so most meals end up outside. Two bedrooms, each with a king bed and AC. Every window frames vegetation, forest, or sky. No concrete, no rooftops, no other buildings. A baby cot is available if you're traveling with a small child. Both rooms stay cool at night thanks to the elevation, and when the AC is off, you sleep to actual silence. The outdoor space is the real draw. A wide terrace for morning coffee and evening drinks. An outdoor dining setup surrounded by garden. And the garden itself is enormous: open grass, mature trees, and enough space that two people can each find a corner and not see each other. This is a place built for slow mornings, long reads, and doing very little on purpose. Guest access The entire villa is yours exclusively. Both bedrooms, the living area, kitchen, terrace, garden, outdoor dining, and parking. No shared spaces, no other guests, no host on site. Check-in is by lockbox. You receive the code and directions before arrival, so there's no waiting for anyone. You come and go on your own schedule. Other things to note You'll have a parking right at the villa. You'll need a car for this stay. There is no way around it. Chamarel is in the hills, 35 minutes from the nearest beach and 15 minutes from the nearest shops in La Gaulette. The upside is that the isolation is the entire point. One honest note: the last stretch of road to the villa is unpaved and can feel rough, especially after rain. It's not dangerous, but it's not smooth tarmac either. Every guest says the same thing when they arrive: the road is worth it once you see where it leads. An insider tip: there is a waterfall about 600 metres from the villa on foot. It's the one in our photos. You can walk there in under 10 minutes. The Seven Coloured Earth is also walking distance. Most guests don't realise this until they arrive and are surprised they don't need to drive to Chamarel's main attractions.
