Built around 300 years ago, the schoolhouse was extensively renovated and lovingly furnished by 2022. Individual accents make up the charm of the "Old School" and ensure a special feel-good atmosphere. The historical character of the house is reflected in small details and meets a modern and upscale interior. The space Welcome to our "old school!" Since 2017, we have been successfully renting our heartfelt project to guests and would like to convey what makes this special house: history and present, creativity and comfort, proximity to the river and a holiday feeling – all in the immediate vicinity of the wonderful Wittenberg, the largest small town in the world... Your studio apartment, the former library, is located on the ground floor of the house. 33 sqm for up to 2 people (equipment included): Living room and bedroom furnishings: - 1 large double bed (180 x 200 cm) - Bed linens and cuddly blankets - Large wardrobe - flat-screen TV - Cozy reading area to relax Fully equipped kitchen: - Refrigerator and freezer - Ceramic stovetop - Oven - Dishwasher (including tabs) - Microwave - Electric kettle - Toaster - Coffee maker (including filter bags and starter pack of coffee powder) - Sugar, salt, pepper, tea, spice bar - Dishwashing and cleaning supplies + accessories/dish towels - Kitchen paper, baking paper, garbage bags - Dining area  Bathrooms: - WC -Washbasin - Modern and spacious walk-in shower - Hand soap, shower gel and shampoo - Hair dryer - 1 set of towels per person (hand towel, bath towel, guest towel) - Hygiene and care products - Toilet paper - Cleaning products, garbage bags - Final cleaning and Wi-Fi included An installed air purifier in the property filters dust, animal hair, pollen, allergens as well as viruses and bacteria and thus ensures constantly fresh and clean air. In our "Old School" you will also find a small selection of regional and selected specialties. Parking directly at the house, a lockable garden shed for bicycles and a garden with various seating and barbecue facilities (incl. grill accessories: charcoal, lighter, grill tongs and cleaning utensils) as well as a fire pit (including firewood) are also available free of charge. Behind the house is the Elbe wetland landscape (you can also enjoy this view from our lookout house) and it is only a few minutes' walk to the Elbe (with sandy beach and swimming in summer). Our "Alte Schule" is located directly on the Elbe Cycle Path in the Mittelelbe Biosphere Reserve and is a perfect starting point for small and large bike tours. Charging facilities for e-bikes are available free of charge. Bicycles can be locked in our garden house. Book 🏡 the whole house (on request): 180 square meters on 2 floors - for up to 12 people

 Guest access You have a fully equipped apartment for your own use (on the first floor). A key safe is mounted at our house, so you can arrive flexibly from 2 PM. Other things to note Our "old school" with its own school garden for harvesting, located directly in the Mittelelbe Biosphere Reserve, invites you to take a break in the countryside with the Elbe beach. Various grill options and a fire pit (including accessories) as well as a picnic basket are also available free of charge. The historic city center of Lutherstadt Wittenberg with its 4 World Heritage Sites is only 10 minutes away by car and can also be easily reached by public transport; a bus stop is 150 meters from the house and is regularly served. The journey from Berlin and Leipzig is only 1 hour by car and approx. 30 minutes by ICE train. Dogs (1-2 animals) are welcome in this accommodation, but we ask that they be registered BEFORE arrival. There is an additional fee of €10.00 per animal per night, which is paid on site. The increased additional and cleaning effort is covered with this fee. We are happy to provide baskets/pillows, food bowls, a towel for the paws and a freezer for raw food for the furry friends. An installed air purifier in the accommodation filters dust, pet hair, pollen, allergens as well as viruses and bacteria and thus ensures constantly fresh and pure air. Unfortunately, cats are not allowed in our house. Unfortunately, this property is not suitable for small children, but there is a large apartment (100 square meters) on the upper floor of the "Old School" and is ideally suited for families with (small) children. It has 2 bedrooms as well as a crib, changing table, high chair, potty and toys.
