Built around 300 years ago, the schoolhouse was extensively renovated and lovingly furnished until 2022. Individual accents make up the charm of the "Old School" and create a special feel-good atmosphere. The historic character of the house is reflected in small details and meets modern and upscale furnishings. The space Welcome to our "Old School"! Since 2017, we have been successfully renting out our heart project to guests and want to convey what makes this special house: history and present, creativity and comfort, proximity to the river and holiday feeling – all in the immediate vicinity of the wonderful Wittenberg, the largest small town in the world ... Your studio apartment, the former library, is located on the first floor of the house. 33 sqm for up to 2 people (equipment included): Amenities Living room and bedroom: - 1 large double bed (180x200cm) - Bed linen and cuddle blankets - large wardrobe - Flat-screen TV - Cozy reading area to relax Fully equipped kitchen: - Fridge and freezer - Ceramic field - Oven - Dishwasher (including tabs) - microwave - Kettle -Toaster - Coffee maker (including filter bags and coffee powder starter package) - Sugar, salt, pepper, tea, spice bar - Dishwasher and cleaning products + accessories/dish towels - Paper towels, baking paper, garbage bags - Dinning Area  Bathroom: - Bathroom - Sink - modern and spacious walk-in shower - Hand soap, shower gel and shampoo - Hair Dryer - 1 set of towels per person (towel, shower towel, guest towel) - Hygiene and toiletries - Toilet paper - Laundry detergent, garbage bags - Final cleaning and Wi-Fi incl. An installed air purifier in the property filters dust, animal hair, pollen, allergens, as well as viruses and bacteria, thus providing constant fresh and pure air. In our "Old School" you will also find a small selection of regional and selected specialties. Parking is available directly at the house, a lockable garden shed for bicycles and a garden with various seating and barbecue facilities (incl. BBQ accessories: charcoal, lighter, grill tongs and cleaning utensils) as well as fire bowl (including Firewood) are also available to you free of charge. Behind the house is the Elba landscape (you can also enjoy this view from our view house) and it is only a few minutes' walk to the Elbe (with sandy beach and swimming in summer). Our "Alte Schule" is located directly on the Elbe bike path in the Biosphere Reserve Mittelelbe and is a perfect starting point for small and large bike rides. Charging facilities for e-bikes are available free of charge. Bicycles can be enclosed in our garden house. 🏡 Book the whole house (on request): 180 sqm on 2 floors - for up to 12 people

 Guest access You have at your disposal a fully equipped apartment for private use (on the ground floor). A key safe is installed at our house, so you can arrive flexibly from 14:00. Other things to note Our "Alte Schule" with its own school garden for harvesting, located directly in the Biosphere Reserve Mittelelbe, invites you to a break in the countryside with the Elbe beach. Various BBQ facilities and a fire bowl (incl. Accessories) as well as a picnic basket are also available free of charge. The historic city center of Lutherstadt Wittenberg with its 4 World Heritage Sites is only 10 minutes away by car and can also be easily reached by public transport; a bus stop is located 150 meters from the house and is served regularly. The journey from Berlin and Leipzig is only 1 hour by car and about 30 minutes by ICE. Dogs (1-2 animals) are welcome in this accommodation, but we ask that they be registered BEFORE arrival. There is an additional fee of €10.00 per animal per night, which is paid on site. The increased additional and cleaning costs will be covered with this fee. We are happy to provide baskets/pillows, food bowls, towel for the paws as well as a freezer for the barbers. An installed air purifier in the property filters dust, pet hair, pollen, allergens as well as viruses and bacteria, thus providing constant fresh and pure air. No cats are allowed in our house. Unfortunately, this accommodation is not suitable for infants, but on the upper floor of the "old school" there is a large apartment (100 sqm) and is ideally suited for families with (small)children. It has 2 bedrooms as well as baby cots, changing table, high chair, potty and toys.
