Charming Carriage House Loft, Steps from Downtown

This comfortable, light-filled, carriage house studio is located on a beautiful, quiet street within a 15-20 minute walk of downtown Lexington, W&L, and VMI. The space Built in 1938, the main house on the property was designed by one of the architects responsible for reimagining Colonial Williamsburg. The previous owners took their architectural cues from him when they commissioned the garage with carriage house loft in 1998. Time stood still upstairs in the loft until fate intervened: a burst pipe gave us the kick in the pants we needed to give it a much needed facelift. The new and improved carriage house studio features 250 square feet of fully upgraded space top to bottom with hardwood floors, a queen bed, full-sized sofa bed, kitchenette, and bathroom with a walk-in shower. The intervening years have been kinder to the English ivy and honeysuckle than to the gardens, but we are working bit by bit to reclaim their former glory!
