Lakeside view – your walkable getaway at the lake

Your cozy vacation home is built on a rock, right on the shore of Lake Hirzmann. It is one of the few houses in the valley and an ideal starting point for hikes and activities in Graz or Köflach in all seasons. In summer, you live right on the lake, lively during the day and cool and quiet at night. Located in the immediate vicinity of ThermeNova and the Piber stud farm, just an hour away from the Red Bull Ring. Your place for your vacation or getaway – in all seasons. The space Arrive, unpack, feel good... Your cozy "Uferblick" vacation home, with its own private jetty, is located right on the shore of Lake Hirzmann and is accessible by car year-round. On weekends in the summer, it is often quite lively by the lake during the day. You might also like to visit the Seeblick Restaurant opposite, where Moni and Georg will spoil you with delicious food and SUP and kayak rentals from May to September. In the evening, the day-trippers leave the valley, while YOU wind down from the day and spend a quiet, cool night in your lakeside house. In winter, when the reservoir is drained, you come to ski nearby and enjoy the tranquility and clean mountain air at 700 meters above sea level. Then the Teigitsch River rushes by outside the window and lends the quiet, fjord-like valley a very special, magical atmosphere. The entire house is at your disposal, with the exception of a private room, and we are glad that you treat it with respect, as if it were your own home. On the ground floor, next to the spacious entrance area, there is the roomy kitchen with an electric stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and a Nespresso machine as well as a filter coffee maker. The open-plan living and dining area with a dining table that can seat up to 8 people beckons with its view of the lake. A sofa that can be pulled out to 160 x 200 cm provides sleeping space for one to two additional people. The ground floor also has a bathroom with a bathtub and toilet. Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms, one with a large double bed and the other with two single beds. You have access to the balcony, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view over the valley. There is also another bathroom with shower and toilet upstairs. If necessary, you can use the washer and dryer in the basement free of charge. In the beautiful surroundings, you have plenty of opportunities to hike, walk, cycle, paddleboard, canoe or ski at any time of year. The nearest grocery store, an excellent bakery, a church, gas stations, and several restaurants are two kilometers away in Edelschrott. The Piber Federal Stud Farm, home to the world-famous Lipizzaners, as well as the lively district town of Köflach with the NOVA Thermal Spa, are only 15 minutes away. From Köflach, you can get to Graz in about an hour by car or train. The nearest small ski resort is in St. Hemma, just about 7 km from Edelschrott. The Klug lifts on the Hebalm or the Hois lifts in Modriach-Winkel, both small and nice ski areas, are only 25 minutes away. The Salzstiegl (1,320 m to 1,740 m above sea level, 30 minutes by car) is also not far away and offers different opportunities for nature experiences and activities for young and old in every season. In summer, you can enjoy trial biking, archery, bungee trampolining or giant scooter fun, while in winter, this ski resort awaits you with 40 hectares of slopes and a total of 12 kilometers of downhill runs. For golfers, we can recommend the 18-hole Erzherzog Johann Golf Club in Maria Lankowitz. Guest access The entire house is at your disposal, except for one room on the upper floor. Your front yard has a rustic seating area and a barbecue. A small path around the property leads to your private jetty on the lakeshore. The shore itself is publicly accessible along the entire lake, and a walkway leads past the dock to the dam. During your stay, we will provide you with two old (!) Canoes are available for private use. This is a loan. There is no legal entitlement to the provision of the canoes or their permanent availability. Use of the canoes is expressly at your own risk. You agree to check the canoes for safety before departure. By starting the trip, you confirm that the boat is in a seaworthy and technically perfect condition. We are not liable for any personal injury, property damage or financial loss incurred by you or third parties as a result of using the canoes. Obvious defects or damage must be reported to us immediately. Other things to note Important: Unfortunately, the house is not accessible, and sure-footedness is also a prerequisite for getting to the jetty. There is no fence or other boundary to the water or the road, so it is only suitable for younger children to a limited extent. Smoking is absolutely prohibited inside the house. Please do not eat or drink in the bedrooms. Check in with key box. During the holidays and on beautiful weekends, day guests come to the lake, and it can be more lively. Sadly, we have no control over parking behavior. If you are planning a trip, we recommend that you park your car on the street so that you can drive away at any time. The jetty belongs to the house, but the shoreline itself is publicly accessible along the entire lake, and a walking path runs past the jetty to the dam. We are here in the countryside, surrounded by stunningly beautiful nature, which is also associated with insects and nearby farms. The phone and Wi-Fi usually work very well, but sometimes they may not be quite as perfect here as in big cities. If you are interested, we would be happy to give you tips for a visit to Graz. If you want to arrive by public transportation, there is the Flux shared taxi from/to Köflach or Edelschrott. The stop is right by the Ströhbernen Bridge, a 1-minute walk to the house.
