A-Frame Lake Retreat: Dock, Canoe, Firepit, Stars!

Take in the stunning lake vista from this 1950s A-frame charmer, perched high on an acre of serene land. Three fully enclosed bedrooms provide space for eight. Enjoy breakfast on the deck where fall foliage meets peaceful water views, take a canoe, kayak or fishing pole for a spin, then cozy up to the fire pit for stargazing. Explore country parks, local farm markets and family fun. Wine or cider tasting opportunities 10-45 min away. Quiet area w/year round residents; no hard partying please! The space The main floor can be accessed from the front entrance (one step) and attached garage (one step into the mudroom) and consists of an open floor plan living room, a dining nook that comfortably seats four, and a kitchenette. It also provides one bedroom with a queen bed (medium firm) and one full bath with walk in shower. This bedroom has some light infiltration that can be blocked with curtains. It stays fairly cool in warm temps. There is a large deck off the main living area with dining for six and a large outdoor couch. The loft is on the second floor with two queen beds (one very firm, one medium firm) and is enclosed with glass French doors. This bedroom has the most light infiltration that is only partially blocked with curtains. It gets a little warmer in hot temps during the day, but cools off at night with windows open. The lower level consists of a large kitchen, a dining area that seats six and a counter that seats an additional four, a third bedroom with a queen bed (medium firm), and the second full bath with tub/shower. This bedroom is the darkest and coolest in the house. There is a patio accessed through a sliding door off the lower level along with easy access to the lawn, picnic tables, fire pit, lounging chairs and steps down to the lake. The kayaks, canoe, etc will either be down by the lake on the metal rack or in the red storage shed off to the side of the house. Please use the provided life vests or purchase your own for safety! The garage holds two cars and houses a variety of sports and entertaining equipment, including - fishing poles, a ping pong table, snowboards, and snowshoes. Guest access Guests are welcome to use all parts of the house with the exception of locked off storage closets. These are designated by either locked doors or padlocks. They are solely for storage and the locks are to protect children or pets from any cleaning supplies. Other things to note Our dock is shared with one immediate neighbor. Please be respectful while enjoying the space. Swimming directly off our lake access or dock is a challenge due to the adjacent wetlands. Take the canoe or kayak further out and hop in for the best experience. Bair Lake is technically an all sports lake. However, it is a very shallow lake by lake standards. The deepest part is usually around 6-7 feet. Therefore, the topography naturally limits most high paced activities. We have kayaks and a canoe on-site.
