In the Vogelsberg volcanic region, you can immerse yourself in nature with all your senses. As a hiker, you will encounter traces of this fiery past at every turn, because the last volcano here became extinct 15 million years ago! In winter, enjoy tobogganing, skiing and snowboarding on the Hoherodskopf or cross-country skiing on the extensive network of trails – winter hikes or snowshoeing through the snow! The space We have beautifully renovated our historic 18th-century half-timbered house with many thoughtful details! On the ground floor is the bright conservatory with direct access to the fully equipped kitchen and the terrace in the beautiful garden. The en suite bathroom is directly accessible from the bedroom (new with box spring bed), and the living room is furnished in a mid-century modern style. On the first floor, you will find a light-filled living room with an open-plan kitchen. Enjoy the sun from breakfast until sunset on the balcony. The large bedroom and bathroom (shower with seat) are located in the cosy half-timbered part of the house (room height 2 metres minus the exposed ceiling beams). The holiday home has a living area of 120 square metres and features two kitchens, two bedrooms, each with a double bed, two bathrooms and two sofa beds, one in each of the two living rooms. We offer a tea bar with various types of tea and Senseo coffee with pods. Enjoy winter in our new infrared sauna! The intense heat rays pleasantly relieve the tensions of everyday life. You can book this wellness experience flexibly , including towels, bathrobe and shower (one day for £10 per person, each additional day £5 per person). Our old shepherd's house is also located in the large courtyard. The spacious, beautiful garden with various seating areas and loungers offers space for all guests. The idyllic natural swimming lake with a beautiful sunbathing lawn is located very close to the holiday home near Juste (about a 5-minute walk). Other things to note Generous breakfast basket optional for two people €25, each additional person €10 – please enquire at least one day before arrival. We rent out 1 ladies' bike, 4 mountain bikes and 1 trekking e-bike (e-bike €10 per day). D1 mobile network or make calls via high-speed WiFi. The Schotten tourist tax of €1 per person per night can be paid in cash on arrival or departure.
