The architecture of Ca’Bastian is typical of a Friulian country house: the high, old stone perimeter wall that surrounds the courtyard, the stone façade, and the large arched windows with brick keystones are reminiscent of the traditional barns found in the hilly area. On the ground floor, history comes to life: you can admire the traditional Friulian “fogolâr.” This ancient hearth was not only a source of heat, but the heart of the house, where people once cooked and shared evening stories. Today, this space is dedicated to your leisure time: guests can sit around the fireplace to read a book, enjoy board games, or relax in the authentic atmosphere of a traditional Friulian home. On the second floor, you will find a shared kitchen illuminated by windows that offer a view of the Moruzzo countryside. Here, you will find breakfast included, with packaged sweet and savory products, coffee, and hot drinks available on a self-service basis. The kitchen is also at your disposal for preparing your meals. The room is furnished with restored pieces typical of Friulian “arte povera” style, combined with modern, functional appliances: an induction stovetop, a microwave, a refrigerator with a small freezer, a dishwasher, and a coffee maker.
