In Steinasafn Auðuns, you can see the diversity of Icelandic stones, which surprises almost everyone. 3. Find Bones Sticks and Stones and view the miraculous little sculpture garden made by the forces of Icelandic nature. 4. Eggin í Gleðivík is a MUST stop. 5. Visit Langabúð, the oldest building and the Cultural Centre of Djúpivogur, where you can find a museum or just have a home baked cake with a double cafe latte at the café there. 6. Do some shopping at Arfleifð, a young designer´s shop, which specializes in raw materials, such as reindeer, seal skin, lamb leather and fish skins, where each product is inspired by the magnificent nature of Djúpivogur. The shop is located in the same building as the town´s supermarket Samkaup. 7. Go to Papey Island (daily at 13:00) and explore puffins and seals. 8. Tired already? Relax at Hótel Framtíð while enjoying the perfect ocean view from the restaurant. We recommend the fish of the day or delicious lobster tails, inspired by Slow Food Philosophy. 9. Go up to the view point at Bóndavarða, where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the entire village, the Island of Papey and surrounding fjords. This is the place where you can practice your Icelandic by learning local names of the mountains around Djúpivogur. 10. Visit Jón í Bergholti (JFS Handcraft) and his magnificent stone garden. Jón handcrafts beautiful jewelry out of Icelandic stones and souvenirs out of wood, as well as the horn of the Icelandic reindeer. 11. Take a walk around the bird watching area where you can see Icelandic birds nesting in their natural surroundings and get lost in the area of black sand dunes by the coast, where only the ocean and the birds will be talking to you… Full walking tour would take you around three to four hours. 12. Looking for locals? Then stop by a grocery shop and a restaurant V Registration details 4711881829
