Bed and breakfast in Idukki
Bed and breakfast in Idukki
Description
It is the only place in Kerala with natural sandalwood forests, making it truly special. The region is also famous for its high-quality jaggery (sharkara), prepared using traditional methods from locally grown sugarcane. Marayoor is home to ancient dolmens, locally known as Muniyara, which are prehistoric stone structures believed to be over 2,000 years old. The area features a distinct dry forest landscape, as it lies in a rain-shadow region, offering a different climate compared to Munnar.
