The renovation of Grooms Cottage was guided by a deep commitment to sustainability and respect for the building's history. Original materials were retained and repurposed wherever possible — from the exposed Victorian brickwork and reclaimed oak timbers to the restored period fixtures throughout. The cottage is heated by an air source heat pump, one of the lowest-carbon heating systems available, meaning you can enjoy a warm, cosy stay with a genuinely light environmental footprint. The grounds of the estate are managed to encourage biodiversity, with wildflower meadows, a natural pond, native hedgerows, and habitat for the hedgehogs, barn owls, and kingfishers that call this corner of Lincolnshire home. Come and experience the warmth of a beautifully restored Victorian country cottage — where heritage craftsmanship and sustainable living sit quietly side by side. Guest access The entire cottage and garden is for the sole use of guests. Private off-road parking on a quiet country lane. Self check-in via smartlock. Other things to note Walks and quiet cycling lanes start right from the door, including the Viking Way long-distance footpath The Sebastopol village pub is within easy walking distance Lincoln city, Horncastle market town, and the Lincolnshire coast (Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Anderby Creek) are all easy drives away Up to 2 well-behaved dogs welcome (£20 per dog one-off fee).
