The house is an old tower built on 3 levels. The lower level is the double bedroom with ensuite shower and toilet, it has french doors that open out onto the lower decking terrace. The middle level is the kitchen, dining sitting area with wood burning stove and flat screen tv and there is an oak staircase that leads to the upper twin bedroom with seperate toilet and basin. The wood burning stove heats the house on chilly evenings and we provide the wood for your use. Flavigny sur Ozerain is classed as one of the most beautiful villages in France as indeed it is. Set in the rolling coutryside of Burgundy this little village has much to offer, restaurants, post office, shops and of course the factory of the famous aniseed sweets Les Anis de Flavigny...the village is also known for the film Chocolat, filmed in 2000, the village scenes and chocolate shop were all shot here... The tower is situated at the bottom of the village, accessed by a very narrow road and with virtually no neighbours, if you are looking for piece and quiet then this is the ideal place. The garden has mature fruit trees including apples and cherries. We hope that you will pick and eat the fruit and even perhaps make a tart or two, all the necessary cooking equipement is supplied in our fully fitted kitchen. There are 2 terrassed areas for dining out, 1 just outside the kitchen and the other on the lower level, this has a sofa and armchairs with cushions. The garden is not completely fenced but if you have a dog who is happy on a long lead then there are plenty of shady trees to tie him up to. There is also a lean-to where you can store bikes, car roof boxes and if your dog is happy sleeping in a kennel outside then this is an ideal spot. This quriky house may not be for everyone, if you have reduced mobility or very young children then the staircases and steps may be a problem. Other things to note The house is equipped with under floor central heating and we supply wood for the wood burner for the chilly nights in spring and autumn. There is a barbecue in the garden. There are 2 decking areas, 1 outside the kitchen for easy eating out and the second area is on the lower level which is more for sunbathing and reading a good book. Registration Details 80832528600017
